I've no beef with a thread 1 or 2 months old tops, IF the topic is still unresolved or up to date. However, many of these threads necro'd have long since expired and become outdated, thus causing confusion and therefore counts as trolling.
As for your point yes too many of a certain topic is annoying, especially if too frequent, but oft times they encourage opening a new thread instead of reviving an old one to ensure that the info is kept up to date.

Trolling is an intended action. You can't accidentally Troll people.

If Person A says/does something with no intention to Troll, and Person B views it wrongly and accuses A of Trolling, then it's Person B's fault for getting butthurt.

Yeah, no. Some problems are much older like the loot cap on molag, yet it was closed.
Or stuff like lvl 9 undauted, pvp lag or old bugs reappearing.

I can't wait for this thread to be necro'd some day.

You missed the point. Necromancy would be alright, the problem is people with three stars or less, upstart spammers acting as though they belong here, posting messages and necroing our threads with impunity!!!
Necromancy should once again be noble pastime of the privileged with 5 stars or more, but what are mods doing about it? Nothing! They are so blase it is almost criminal.

I am calling out Elitism!
I may only be a three star, but just because I am not at the star cap doesn't mean I will contribute less to the forum. I am well practiced in posting in threads, after all, even though my star level is lower.
And even if I wasn't, how can those with less stars learn how to do well if you keep kicking them from your threads until they have maxed out stars? Everyone has to start somewhere.

It's no accident or coincidence. I'm quite certain some people that are not as active on the forums as others are getting together and necroing threads. Not one of the recent necro'd threads was necro'd by anyone with 4 or more stars. I'm not being biased towards less active forumgoers, I'm just stating the facts and inputting my opinion based on them.

And here I was trying to write a clever parody of the complaints of kicking people from dungeons because they are under the CP cap.
I guess I was too subtle.
I can't see any problem in necromancy. Still on most other forums is recommended to use search option and reply in already started threads than to start a new one in the same matter.UltimaJoe777 wrote: »Regardless, this problem is going to continue if something is not done. Idea of "all threads auto-lock after a certain amount of time has passed without a new comment" seems a bit ridiculous.
