One Tamriel = RIP to all node farmers & grinders

Unsubbing "until this is sorted out" is simply prudent. I can still play--and can easily resub if One Tamriel is implemented in a way that I can enjoy. Allowing a multi-month sub to roll over when you're as unsure as I that you will enjoy the new gameplay is silly--and likely to lead to resentment if I find I've paid for something I no longer want. There's always an opportunity cost when you spend time and money doing something. If I'd rather do something other than play ESO until either my suspicions are confirmed or I'm pleasantly surprised, that's really not something that should concern you, @Khairiah. Sorry you feel a need for more space.

I can understand you not wanting to renew a multi-month sub while still uncertain as to how One Tamriel will unfold, but you may as well retain the benefits of subbing in the meantime and just stick to single month subscriptions. I'm personally going to allow mine to renew as usual because I'm confident I'll continue to enjoy the game regardless. Each to his own, however.

This actually still happens on live in early game zones, like Stonefalls.

not on console it doesnt. I havent seen a situation where I was in a seperate instance to someone else in at least 9 months.

Unsubbing altogether until this is "sorted out" is not prudent, it is foolhardy and a knee jerk reaction to something that NO ONE has a full concept of (including ZoS would be my guess). As Tandor was smart enough to point out, just go monthly on the subscription until a time where we know more.

not only that unsubbing now could actually hurt you. if you wait for OT, and unsub if it turns out to be a disaster, then you'll be speaking more clearly to ZOS

dunno I've not unsubbed, but I suspect they do. still even if they don't they're gonna be smart eneugh to say "we introduced a major change.... half our player based unsubbed... it's clearly not popular!"

Don't get too excited. I doubt that half of their population is going to unsub, and even if they did... well, look at the state of PVP in this game and then ponder the effectiveness of unsubscribing again.

I had a similar experience. I have a specialist Night Blade Khajiit who is level 5. This alt was intended to be the one to do all the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests (I didn't get far on my main character and gave up as he isn't built for stealth).

To start the Dark Brotherhood, it is necessary to kill an innocent civilian. I picked someone suitably unarmed and as I thought easy to kill. She promptly killed me without much difficulty. I thought, I am theoretically scaled to be able to play in this zone. In practice I am scaled from a very poorly equipped and skilled character. Not a lot to work with / scale up. I could perhaps have persevered and got my higher level characters to craft the best set gear, enchant it, create a bunch of potions for my character to use. In the end though it would be such a grind to play that it would not be enjoyable.

I really would not want One Tamriel means the whole world is like that. It would be horrible for new / low level characters.

In contrast portions of the main quest and mages / fighters guild quests scale up to your character at a given time. This plays a lot better but it only work because those portions of the quests are solo so the whole world is adapting to one character.

I may have to just wait and see what it is like.

Perhaps then they will have to provide their own mats, or send all the drops to the gm or something to decon put in the bank for the crafters.
