Dark Brotherhood Motif Pages Not Dropping As Stated In the Patch Notes

I just completed a Dark Brother Hood Scrament Quest and did not get a motif page drop. I quote the patch notes info on receiving those pages below.

"ScramentChapters of the Dark Brotherhood style motif - or, rarely, the full Motif Book - can be obtained by completing Sacraments for the Dark Brotherhood."

Note there is no mention that the pages drop occasionally it states by completing the sacrment quests.

In addition I completed a contract and again no drop of Black Beeswax. I quote the patch notes info on receiving those pages below

" Black Beeswax, the Dark Brotherhood Style Item, can be obtained by completing Dark Brotherhood Contracts"

Note: again there is no mention that Black Beeswax drops occasionally by completing the contracts.

ZOS you need to get on the ball here. Enough of your bugs. The requirement states one thing but that is not happening.

The drop rate is most likely really small as usual. You gotta farm over and over to get the pages.

Tg motif is guaranteed drop, so why wouldn't Db be. Weird design choice if it isn't the same, just makes farming motifs even more annoying.

Just curious if the motif pages can drop from screwing up the quest and only killing main target, not competing the optional stuff. I mean I know 0/5 and completing all optional objectives is not giving 100% chance... so why spend the extra time if it's not needed.

I have gotten a drop every time, just like on heists. I was under the assumption that you had to complete all challenges for said drop, just like the heists. Basically get the maximum reward if you will.

I was also disappointed to see how they are releasing the new motifs.

I miss the days of loose Dwemer pages in urns and full books here and there.

I'll still log in everyday an play ZOS, I just don't want to run Black Sacraments everyday for a half a year.

Why half a year? You are getting one a day. Even with bad rng you could just trade the duplicates with people for ones you don't have. You prefer the roll of the dice opening urns to guranteed rewards for task completion?

My wife got Dark Brotherhood Shoulders last night so it is working. Just random RNG the same as everything else.

Can we get some clarification here? Am I just super lucky getting a motif on heists and sacraments every time I complete all objectives? Or is this intended and people are confused?

Heists are for sure 100% if you complete all objectives.

Sacraments are not, at least not for me.

Sorry, I was being dramatic throwing "half a year" out there. As stated above, it doesn't seem to be a 100% drop like the TG motif.

I only play 1 character, so even if I got a page 1 out of 4 times and didn't get any duplicates... It would take 56 days. 56 black sacraments... Yuck.

That is only one of the 4 motifs too that all seem to be modeled for once a day chance.

Agreed, though I'm burned out on the page thing entirely. Would prefer the motifs to just be the whole books. Think how nice it would be to search in the horrendously organized guild stores' lists if it were just the books? Since having a button that lists things alphabetically seems a programming impossibility.

I was quick to jump to conclusions myself and I apologize for that. It would seem I am just on a lucky streak these first three days with sacraments. Be nice if they did change it to the 100% chance like Heists though.

I have done several sacrament runs where i completed all objectives (maybe detected once) and have yet to get a motif. If it is supposed to be like the heists then something is wrong.

Since update 12 patch I have done 10 contracts and a 4 sacraments. In total I have received 1 Dark Brotherhood style sheet and 3 black beeswax. Looks like it's just RNG to me.

Maybe its just the annoying lawyer that I am, but there is a huge difference between the words "can" and "will". It says that it CAN be obtained ... So, no, that's just a random drop then.

UPDATE

My streak continues. 4 sacraments down, 4 perfect runs, 4 DB motif pages for a reward. Either my ridiculous luck continues, or something is going on here. I will add, if it means anything, that I am max level in the DB line, and have completed the "Flawless Sacrament" achievement.

That's just luck. I've done a lot of them since the update (multiple characters), always meeting every objective. One character had a streak of 3 that ended today. One character had a drought of 3 that ended today. As with all things RNG, you will see streaks, you will see droughts, and it's why we all hate RNG.

was hoping we'd get an increased drop rate if we got the highest level of quest completion (100% at max completion) just like for Heists in the Thieve's Guild DLC. No such luck, very upsetting.

The could have attached them to the kill quests and given it the drop rate of Abah's Watch which outside on VMA may be the most disgusting grind I the game.

You can't even buy you way out of it on PS4 the watch motifs and between 70 - 100 K (disclaimer I haven't checked every guild store) checking every guild store is almost as bad as running those missions.

I'm only in the middle of the DB quest line, but the 2 perfect sacraments I've done since the Patch have not yielded a motif page, so it does seem to be luck (or bugged)
