Dark Brotherhood Motif Pages Not Dropping As Stated In the Patch Notes

Ran 4 today, no motif page. The motif page is the only reason I am doing sacraments at all. It certainly isn't for the lame gear or the super-cheesy heist style rip-off, and it sure as hell isn't for the xp.

For this kind of thing, they need to stick to the Thieves Guild drop rate, not the terrible Trinimac drop rate. It's frustrating enough having to repeat the same content over and over and over and over and over and over... and over and over and over and over... and over and over... and over again, so there's really no need to make it more painful.

Yes the price dropped considerably on Thieves Guild motif pages compared to Abah's Watch motif pages, but who cares? You're making new ones with every DLC now. Give us a break on the drop rate at least so we can actually enjoy the game.

You can't even buy you way out of it on PS4 the watch motifs and between 70 - 100 K (disclaimer I haven't checked every guild store) checking every guild store is almost as bad as running those missions.

well... i already completed the Blackest Sacrament and even the Flawless Sacrament and i never got one single Dark Brotherhood Motif.

i got a page and a beswax on XBOX NA last night... you have to complete the mission with the bonus parameters BEFORE the overseer arrives, to get the full rewards I believe.

Not super easy, but easier than the TG heists.

I can say that they are an rng drop though the chances to get a page seems to increase if you complete all of the optional tasks in the sacrament. Further it also seemed to have a drop rate increase if one had used pages. For example two templars one is getting crating motifs to use since they a crafter of mine the other isn't. More often the one that had read pages got a motif even if not all of the objectives were completed. Luck? Maybe but this is my experience.

They do drop with some frequency however else I would not have been able to get enough for two full sets of that particular motif.

Shoulda been a guranteed drop for a perfect run. Although I must admit, they are much easier than the heists. Well, at least to me they are.

Seriously on the rewards tho, why is the DB set gear so craptastic? The blade of woe stuff is so PVE specific.

I wish Baraha's curse gear would drop in DB

Agreed ... there's no timer which is the biggest issue for my "Templar Healer who still has a wide gap between current state and professional thief."

No motifs for me on the sacraments, yet, either @dethbl00ms. But, I just re-started the Daily sacraments after a long break.

green reward ~ 25% chance
blue reward ~ 50-75% chance

it is not guaranteed like the heists, but not exactly rare either.

This seems to fit with my experience. I finished getting all of the chapters a week or two ago, after spending about a week doing sacraments on 9 characters/day. If i had been trying to complete the motif by finding people to trade chapters with I probably could have completed the motif quicker (instead I just sold the chapters I had already learned, and kept doing sacraments to get more) - at one point I think I got 4 boots chapters in a row...

I haven't got any of the new motifs yet and I've been doing all the world boss quests since the latest DLC. I have been doing them every day, basically. The sacraments I've done less regularly, probably only 4 or so but yeah - nothing for me either.

That seems pretty accurate. Lol I forgot I had written in this thread before. Back then I thought it was 100%. My how the times have changed.

They are back to not dropping on xbox one anyway. After last update it seems that u get screwed after doing it perfectly.

Yep. Just because ZOS omitted one word doesn't mean 100% drop rate all of a sudden.

It's like saying ta, or rarely kuta, can be obtained by harvesting runestones. -- It doesn't mean you get kuta or ta EVERY time.

I get them maybe 1 in 3 perfect runs. I also got one from a non-perfect run once, so it can happen (though that was the only time I ever recall getting a motif from the green bag).

It also doesn't say the motif always drops. Merely says it can be obtained from doing the quest.

Mostly motifs are random drops from doing quests or killing bosses except for the weekly coffers from trials.
