I notice that there are no children in ESO compared with Skyrim that had children.

It makes me wonder if it was a deliberate choice not to include them due to concern about simulated violence against children (I believe in Skyrim children could fight but would not die). The turbulent ESO world is not very safe for children anyway. Would having them around like Skyrim add much to the experience?

oh my,now i understand why Imperials have a passive called red diamond..

But I think they have no children ingame as it would get too violent for their target audience if players were able to kill children.

Bethesda has put children in their games before, even much more violent games than this one.. They just code the kids to be invulnerable

The reproduction in ESO stopped the moment ZOS stopped styling female armor... How could we or NPC's be attracted to those females when the female beauty is totally ignored?? ...

I played little lamplight.

As I recall even in Skyrim there were only human children. No children of other races.

I think introducing children also opens up more interactivity in towns..
Weren't we able to play tag in towns in skyrim with the kids,...
They could become a catalyst to improve and add more town activities

It is not like asking to add children has to be for some dark thing.

Thinking of provisioning and white meat being an ingredient then Austin Powers definition of "The other other white meat". Albeit Skyrim actually did have the potential ability to eat people which was pretty dark.

Well if after a few years jewellery never became craftable (it was in Skyrim) and there probably isn't going to be a big drive for children being included having tangible impact on gameplay.

Jewelry in Skyrim and here, can't really be compaired Skyrim was singleplayer, first of all.. Jewelry crafting here will influence a heck of a lot more

I haven't forgotten that it was through a child performing the black sacrament on their orphanage leader that the Dark Brotherhood is introduced in Skyrim. Those children are trouble.

Lamplight kids from FO3 are creepy..and also skyrim has some like the one performing black sacrament on the orphanage leader.
I believe kids can be inherently born evil too.Know many will disagree.But i've seen babies and toddlers that lack any sign of emotion.Its like they don't see the love in mother's eyes.
Does anyone know a source to where they have said why they haven't included children in Eso?

The game rating applies to all children . Rated M for Mature . So they had to kick all the children out of Tamriel to a cyber orphanarium .

It would have been more logical that they'd had to kick out all potential violence againt children if the game was rated E for everyone.
Because it is rated M for mature you'd think its ok to include kids,creepy kids and playing kids in the city.
The reason in skyrim they made kids invulnerable was probably to reach out to a younger audience
But skyrim appears to have the same rating as Elderscrolls online

Somehow it's hard to imagine children in this game, because then somebody would ask for their undead version . If there is so many undead adults in ESO, it's just a matter of time for such question .

I could picture that being the case but if so it should apply just the same to the single player games as well, which do include children.

Y'all are overthinking this way too much.

In case anyone has failed to notice, the underwear can't come off. This makes it surprisingly hard to have children.

If a game would only include mature npc because its rated M for mature & if a game would only include children because its rated T for teens would make little sense..

Fortunately some people make low characters, then these with tall ones can feel better - well, if only your bow has the lenght of other player's height, you can feel a bit like among children .
