This Dunmer assassin likes to murder them with crochet needles.

Maybe I'm confusing Oblivion and Skyrim but there's one in one and not the other.

More accurate to say, "they're not friendly in the lore." Since, there are Unicorns in TES.

Actually... not so much, no. The Elder Scrolls' unicorns are psychopaths.

Sooooo a "Doom Unicorn" would suffice?

The unicorn in Oblivion would aggro on anything that had a weapon out (internally, this included things like animals in a combat stance). So if you weren't riding it, it would attack wolves, bandits, legionaries who saw bandits and were fighting them... you, me, everyone.

So totally could be a mount in ESO... since it's not out if you're not riding it
..I totally don't secretly want a unicorn. Promise.
Adding brand new lore is fine. Adding lore that conflicts with existing lore is trickier. That's where most complaints come from.I hate the "lore" argument. its stupid. Maybe the writers of the game are adding new Lore, or its undiscovered history up to this point. If it makes the game more fun then do it regardless of lore. Not hard to add something and call it "new" lore
