Unfortunately ZOS has no love for us, only wants to push PvE content and does nothinh to improve lag issues in Cyrodiil.

I'd love to RP with my char(I've never done much role play even in RP games. When I played WoW I was a bit too young to get involved; I lacked etiquette for one thing) but on PS4 that would mean RPing for real basically(voice chat) and I'd feel uncomfortable doing that

What are you actually doing? I mean do you stand in Mournhold singing Red Diamond every night? This is very confusing to me. Please explain.

I don't know about all of them but a couple months ago some guildies and I found some RP walking their mounts in a circle around Mournhold so we did the only logical, took everything but tabbards off and jumped in the line with them.

    +1

    I like them both equally

    PVP is real fun :)

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU

I feel deeply offended by this assumption. It is awful of you to say such thing about us roleplayers.

We obviously sing "Sway as We Kiss", not "Red Diamond". The nerve of some people...
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Love being able to run dungeons, play through the story again and again, and train up alts.

But PVP zone chat is generally better than PVE zone chat. That was until I got guild invite from growing PVP guild with all of the people who chat in PVP, so I get the same quality of content.

In its most perfect execution, PvE is convergent, meaning all dungeon and trial runs become more and more similar the closer to perfect they become. To me, that gets boring quickly. As you approach perfection in PvP, though, the challenges only rise, and each fight becomes more and more different from the last. I love the unpredictability and greater challenge that improving at PvP offers versus improving at PvE. Also, open world PvP is like a different adventure every time. You never know what's around the corner! You have to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and hone your reflexes to react to unpredictable attacks in fights. I've never RPed, but I know a number of people who do, including core members of my guild, and can appreciate why they enjoy it.

To be honest, even though I put PVE first and RP as a second, what's the most fun to me is tp RP while PVEing, doing group content in character is much more fun than just standing there talking to eachother.

Not really. It has to be the opposite, maybe it's because they'll never be perfect PvE content so new ideas will always get used

I enjoy PVE and being able to do all the crafting I need myself, but my main focus is absolutely PVP. I prefer to run in small groups, and I enjoy soloing, duoing with a friend, and really anything up to 12 people. More than that and I don't feel like I'm making a difference. Fighting equal or superior numbers and winning is a great feeling. I also love those spontaneous 1v1s where you fight a tough opponent for a couple minutes ( a looong fight by PVP standards) and win or lose each player whispers the other "good fight " when it ends and sincerely mean it.

You a Saxlheel too? Sunbathing around midday is a gorgeous experience in the cold island of Bleak Rock, I suggest the rocks close to the shore, take the lighthouse road and get down to those rocks. Amazing experience.

can someone please explain what the appeal of RP is? Do you have too much time on your hands and you are bored? Do you enjoy acting but do not want to do it IRL? Or do you actually enjoy ignoring reward/achievement based game play in favor of acting out random scenes with no structure? Seriously, not trying to be an ass....just do not understand it

Technically, I'm more moment-for-moment satisfied by RP, but RP overall accounts for a very, very small amount of the time I spend actually gaming. MOST of my time is spent in exploration, questing, and combat, and those are the other three activities that keep my playing games generally, and ESO in particular - so, overall, PVE wins over RP, even though if I could incorporate RP into exploration and combat, RP would rule over all!
