@silvereyes oh dear, thank you. <3

It's no excuse though, since the consoles are screwed on this matter regardless - they don't have any addons that will stack guildbank materials for them either :/

EDIT: YES I AM AWARE THIS IS A NECROED THREAD - but the subject is still relevant.

The crafting bag should essentialy come with a tick box that says "put crafting items in the bag automatically" - tick it for yes, untick it for no. Problem fixed.

And while we're at it, please move all the 'partial' trait stone components under trait stones, instead of under smithing AND woodworking AND clothing. I'm talking about Akaviri scales, ashes of remorse, casiterite sand etc. They are trait stone components, they're not smithing materials or clothing materials or woodworking materials, yet they appear under all 3 categories. Annoys me to no end.

@sekou_trayvond we have to though, for as long as ZOS keeps neglecting their own decisions. I am sorry but the crafting bag is a nightmare in certain situations.

Consoles can't install addons like people on PC platform do. Beside that, addons are a third party script that you have to install, it doesn't guarantee any safety, they often contain bugs and have sometimes contained vira.

Glad you found it useful. There's a new version coming out tomorrow that adds craft bag to the trade window, fyi. Feel free to offer any other feature suggestions on the esoui page's comments.

It's always a problem for me to ask my guildmembers to send me exact amount of required materials. .

You are making stuff for guildies... using guild supplies. Why would THEY have to go to the guild store at all? You are the crafter, you know how many mats it takes/doesn't take. Someone with no crafting experience - and no familiarity of how which passive modifies what can't even know this.

I'm all for people contributing to crafters, but this is just ... needlessly messy.

I think you have misunderstood this whole thread.

This thread is about problems with the crafting bag that comes with ESO+ membership, not hand outs and profit off of my guild members.

    No...no really it's not.

The crafting bag functions wonderfully as a holder of crafting items. Working as intended as the ZoS peeps are fond of saying.

It also functions wonderfully as a seduction/bribe/temptation to use (or continue to use) ESO+

    Again, working as intended.

What it does not do is eliminate the need for player thought, reasoning and active participation in the game and with each other.

In my day, back when I gamed around a tabletop with pen and paper and RNGJesus was a twenty sided die, we did all the calculations by hand. Forget a "buff" or "bonus"? Well then it just didn't apply. We did our own calculations, we rolled our own dice

    And we were grateful.

    No offence here, but you are like the guy that, while holding a perfectly good hammer in his hand, complains that it doesn't have a screw driver as part of it. We point out that there is a perfectly good screw driver on the ground right next to you and you say;

"That isn't the point! This HAMMER doesn't have a screw driver as part of it! I can't believe the maker of this hammer didn't add a screw driver as part of it!?! How hard would that be!?!" Look, here is an instance where I want to screw in screws and this hammer can't do it!!!"

All while there is a perfectly good screw driver at your feet.

If a guildy wants something made for them, make it. If you want mats back tell them. The end.

    Really not that hard.

Someone has a good idea that would require minimal implementation and save some annoyances, and immediately he is bashed upon by several arrogant jerks who think they know better, wow how toxic.

Yes, it is indeed annoying when you have no option to turn off materials automatically entering your crafting bag. And yes, especially for us crafters who have to juggle my materials, your materials, guild materials and who knows what else.

Just because the crafting bag is in essence a good thing, does not mean it cannot be improved, so why not stop being so poisonous towards someone who actually comes forth with constructive ideas how to optimize the crafting bag function.

Crafting bag is useful, but it can be annoying.

Asked a friend to make me something.
Pulled required materials out of crafting bag.
    Game crashed.
Log back in. "Your crafting supplies have been added to your crafting bag!"
    Pull materials out again.
Walk to crafting station where friend went while waiting for me to log back in, hit loading screen upon arrival.
Loading screen ends. "Your crafting supplies have been added to your crafting bag!"

The crafting bag really changes the way you do things in game, more than just looting everything now. :D It sometimes takes perseverance to get them out to send to others.

For restacking crafting supplies in the guild bank, best bet on console is to create an account JUST for that, and keep the inventory empty.

I would really love a toggle, but I am not holding my breath.
Why be normal when you can be better?

Well I do agree there are a LOT of good ideas.

As to implementation - well the folks on here that actually work in programming have tended to point out that what looks easy from the "outside" sometimes isn't

    At all.

However when nice new stuff is added by ZoS and folks fixate on how much better it could/should/would be, and zoom past even rudimentary politeness at warp speed and do the "gimmie more" dance. Well, I don't really see that as mature or contributory.
