I haven't taken advantage of this yet cause I've pretty much unlocked every skill I could really want to use now, but it wouldn't hurt at all to reallocate them...

Well too late on PC and I forgot to respec all characters before it went back to 50g.

Would be a nice change but it's acceptable that it's a thing during DB launch because of all the skill changes.

It's just like the cake - use it while it's availible but don't expect it to be a permanent change.

Assuming you're on console, they already took it away again on PC.
They only did it this patch because of the number of skill changes.
Of course I think everyone wants them to keep it 1g per SP forever but they will never ever ever do that because of the crown store respec option existing. In fact we're lucky the gold option still exists at all given how adept Zos is at understanding what players want.

I've voted yes purely for the cost form respecing cp. I understand why cp are expensive (if you abuse it) because it doesn't matter where you are to be able to do so. What if they added another shrine for cp and level that out a touch. Or for each respec you had X amount of time to respec at no extra cost. Once they bring back the unkillable NPC for dps checks (forgets name, Xbox 1) you could spec, see the damage and change as needed.

Or at least allow the respecing of cp to show on the skill damage in skills before confirming.

It was fantastic that zos gave us a cheap respec option - I hope they do it for every DLC. For a limited time only.

My opinion is, respecs are more of a gold sink for the most committed players, in that it costs more if you have more skill points. Hardcore gamers have so much more gold than casual players, but they also have an enthusiasm to try out lot's of new things, so expensive respecs tend to affect the hardcore players the most without significantly disadvantaging them.

I believe the game should do more to keep a level playing field between the hardcore and the casual gamers, and this is one of the subtle mechanisms doing it.

To respec entire set of skill/morphs means already to suffer a great pain in the butt.

Either it's realy has to be 1gold or you should get an opportunity to choose what skill you want to unlearn like with CP system.

I don't think they should because of the respec from the Crown Store but I like the idea: less pressure when choosing to spend a skill point. x)

Forever is too long. However 1 week isn't long enough. For those people who don't have the time to go onto the PTS and theory craft, we haven't had enough time to decide our build yet. So a lot of people missed out on this. They should extend it to the first 2 weeks after the DLC release. That would be plenty of time I think for people to take advantage of it.

Gold Sink is a funny argument when it comes to respecing. Those with 500k-1mill+ gold aren't going to sink any of their gold on respecs unless they purposely stood there, reset their skills, spent them all, reset them all again, spent them all and you know the rest.

Those with lots of gold will always make way more gold than the respec cost so they'll never really lose it on that, if that's what you want to consider a gold sink...

I would prefer if we could reset single skills for the normal price, even if that's like 1k per single skill reset.

I would like an extension until after they fix the crashing in major cities so I can actually take advantage of the respec discount on my characters without losing the ability to play them.

So I guess that's a request for a permanent 1g per skill respec, since I doubt they will fix the issue? :D

a gold sink is not menat to take all your gold but as an avenue to get rid of some of the gold in the game to make sure the economy is not killed. about 300 skill points i spend 12k to respec. I dont grind gold or farm items to sell. I pvp and even still 12k gold can be gotten in a short time. you dont need to be a millionaire to afford aa respec. Additionally, who respecs all of their skills so often to make it hard to afford? it is not like people respec everyday. at best you respec morphs which is real cheap.

The price is ridiculous as is..I'm all for a small money sink but 10k, especially for folks who don't play the game like it's a real job, can be somewhat painful.

Man, y'all need a Skill Calculator.

I'd prefer it to go back to its original price. We need more reasons to spend our gold, not less. I've liked changes made to some vendors like Enchanters, for instance, where they sell all Potency Runes. That gives me an actual reason to spend gold at a vendor, if I'm too lazy to hunt down Runestones for more Potency Runes.

I wish those types of changes were made across the board for vendors, honestly.

Anywho, back on-topic: I think respeccing is nice for people who want to just experiment with something new, but I don't believe (or recall, it's been awhile since I last played the game) Skill Points left remaining before a respec counted towards the price you had to pay. It wasn't THAT expensive, really. Maybe in the first 50 Levels it can be a bit cumbersome when you want to save gold for other things like bank and inventory space, but I never found a reason to respec when I first played this game at launch until I reached Veteran Zones (and that was when the game was much more challenging than it is now).

Skill Calculators seriously helped me out a lot. I created a spreadsheet that has all the skills I know I want clearly labeled as such so I put points in those first. For ESO, skill point and champion point allocation is so versatile that you can create a large variety of builds from them. I can't honestly think of one build in ESO that is just "better than thou" at everything. ESO is a game where damage dealers, tanks, and healers all equally matter in the heat of conflict (believe it or not, a LOT of MMOs have scale completely unbalanced where DPS is all that matters).

PTS is always a great time to test build ideas, and we're gonna have the next one soon, so you can always try out your build ideas there! I know I will. ^_^

It is noce considering if you both PvE and PvP a lot you are forced to respect often (since we don't have separate PvE/PvP profiles). It makes the game more friendly for players who want to enjoy both on their various toons.

when swapping between the two play styles all you have to do is swap morphs. morphs are cheap to respec.

I only respec Morphs now, for the most part, unless I was leveling Crafting on a character. So, it's pretty cheap for me.

Oddly enough, I did not respec one character after the DB Update.

No. The gold sink is good for the game. I'm the end this poll doesn't matter since it is not designed to reflect the gaming population of ESO. The question is also poorly worded to skew the results in a particular direction.

    I've been ripped off!

( please note I have not submitted a report yet )

I went to reset my points last night and none of my points got reset after paying, except for the 1 point i had morphed.

I tried to reset my points again but the option to pay was disabled. So I restarted my game, and when I logged in I paid to reset the points again. Same thing.

Did it one more time.. same thing.

That sucked. I will try again today and if it happens again I will submit a ticket.

Either that or allow us to respec similar to cp, by deselecting the skills we want.
