Input delay on PC (client not responding to keyboard keys)

Since the Dark Brotherhood client, I experience occasional input delay.

It can sometimes go several seconds when the client does not react to me pressing certain keys on the keyboard. Other functions on the computer work, such as pressing the start-menu button and it comes up immediately.

Is this experienced by more people than me?

I noticed this after the patch that was done today. When DB hit I didn't seem to have the issue too bad or enough to noticed. I didn't notice light attacks not working or hitting, possible hitting but never saw the damage applied.

Yep, noticed this problem a short time ago while playing tonight. Also had three crashes on 32-bit client.

Yea it was after DB for me also. Kinda sucks having to hit skills 3-4 times before they go off

I am using the 64-bit client and everything else is running kinda smooth (as long as Master Merchant have loaded), but sometimes I can press to move forward 4-7 times and nothing happens, and sometimes when already running forward it can completely stop out of nowhere, because it stopped responding to me holding the key to move forward.

..and yes, same can happen with other directions as well, along with trying to use skills etc.

I've been seeing this on and off as well since DB dropped, most noticeably in vWGT. Not always fatal but extremely annoying; happens on both 64-bit and 32-bit.

Rapids doesn't fire for me if my cursor is hovered over an NPC. Instead I get an error about the prevent attacking innocents setting. Yes, I've /bug'd it, but Rapids not firing is much less frustrating now that I know what it is.

I have tried everything I can think of to fix this input delay, but nothing I have tried have fixed it.

The delay is random and lasting from 2 sec to 20 sec.

I have verified that it is the connection between the game and the mouse and keyboard that is the problem, as other funktions works just fine at the same time as the game doesnt respond to my commands.

Have to attempt multiple times to interact with Npcs to get their quest
1 out of 10 times or so the conversation starts.And if it starts it gets stuck somewhere in the middle of conversation.

And then when you manage to start the conversation with a merchant,Selling an item is near impossible .Was able to sell like 2 items with 100 pushes on the E button.

Serious lag during battles too.Rarely anything happens ,or you know that you innitiated the attack & will be dead when you'll log in again.

I was playing yesterday about 2 - 3 hours, PC EU, 64 bit client and did not realize any issues like the one you are describing

Go to settings, interface and right at the bottom turn latency counter on. I bet in these moments your ping is sky high.

HAHAHA you said occasional lol. I sometimes have to hit the speed boost skill 5-10 times before it goes. That is just one example of it not working since DB DLC

Not at all. I have both FPS and Ping showing all the time and it is very rare that I have high ping. The times I have input delay, it shows regular ping. As said earlier, it is between the input devices and the game, nothing else. Everything else works just perfectly.

it's on the Xbox also.
