thank you for that, it is really Effing Confusing to think about but if that is the way the lore Set it up who am i to judge :)

No problem @Clerics1985 , The lore calls Dragons the "Children of Akatosh" but I've always viewed them more like "Manifestations" of Akatosh.

And like how the Daedra weren't born, and were never adolescents, neither were dragons. They're not animals, they are immortal, powerful beings.

I could go into more how there have been reports of mortals turning into dragons which makes me wonder if Dragons are a sort of "enlightened state" for those who follow Akatosh... but those thoughts are based on assumption and conjecture derived from loose lore.

So just think that they are more like Daedra than they are animals.

Next up: WAMASU! You heard it here first.

Only if you time traveled or others had their heads in the sand ... wamasu mounts have been discussed ad nauseam for quite a while.

Btw that Fire horse or whatever the hell it's called i accept as Skyrim DB horse. idgaF!~

Young dragons don't exist in the Elder Scrolls @Clerics1985 . They manifested as they appear in Skyrim.

Now a dragon-like mount might be cool...

    I guess that's pretty much a Wamasu...

Looks a lot faster and more agile than a wamasu. This and the wingless griffin have my votes.
P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

@Gidorick I wonder why Peryite chooses the Dragon form? Any ideas on that Gidorick? He's supposedly the weakest of the Princes yet mimics the form of the Dragon god of Time. Always puzzled me.

I would be completely fine with something like this. It could be a creature that lives in Black Marsh. We could get it with Murkmire if we are ever getting Murkmire.

Again, as long as they drop some lore references to it in game and introduce some wild ones before introducing them as mounts. I think this should be the modus operandi for every new creature, be it a pet or a mount.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I want an Echatere mount! Already in-game so not hard to make as mounts!

Any time I see this thing I wonder if it's still an ESO game. Making mount from thunderbugs is more lore friendly than this.

That Echatere thing is terrifying its like something straight out of the God Eater anime lol

Hmm... interesting question. I have no idea. I would assume it's probably something to do with an inferiority complex. Being seen as the weakest prince and all, he might want to be seen as a powerful dragon. Like the Daedric Prince version of...

This thread needs more Gryphon fanart. Here you go.

Part Adelie penguin, part snow leopard, because for some reason I can accept the existance of a creature that's part cat and part bird, but mixing a warm-climate cat with a cold-climate bird just broke my poor mind. :astonished:

    @VerboseQuips : You asked about hippogriffs...lookie here:
The history of the land, of course, began long before the first year of the First Era. Before man or mer came to Valenwood, the forestland was a salmagundi of creatures and strange civilizations. Centaurs, hippogriffs, satyrs, minotaurs, giants, basilisks, fairy folk, hydra, and intelligent apes all flourished there before the first Aldmeri stepped onto its shores.
