I did not know it was there either. I don't think it was there since launch, as remember looking for a way to turn them off. I use the Addon to squash all these messages.

If moderators wish to remove the post, that is their prerogative, and as they are always fair, I'll go with their decision on that

However, It was not meant to be offensive to anyone.

I personally feel that it's a real discussion and something that has been requested a GREAT MANY times. I made this post about it and thought people would kinda get the joke, but also be mature enough to actually discuss the point of the thread rather than harper on about the injustice done to the community through activating a poll with no choice... the irony being that in game we have no choice but to have huge text scrolling across the screen telling us what is going on in PvP when we are not in PvP at that moment.

It seems most people here did get the joke and have commented on the point in a fun way of 'hmmm let me see, which one shall I choose'.

Hey man, I think you are being a bit harsh and over dramatic here. I think it's quite obvious to anyone here with inteligence that this was a friendly and polite request and made with a bit of a joke, but about a real issue, and one that many have spoke about in game and on the forums for quite a long time. Your notion of my trying to decieve people does come across as baiting, and I hope that is not your intention.

I'm not experienced on the forums being relatively new. Obviously I chose a poll and that was wrong... I do apologise... Please slap my wrist for me and give me a good telling off.

Either way, I think you have missed the point of the post, and so far you have had nothing constructive to add.

Guys, please don't take things too seriously. Do we REALLY want a forum that has zero humour and light heartedness? I don't. I much prefer the posts on here that seem to come from the right place and with a dash of humour.

Anyway, back on point... If you really feel that you would NOT like for there to be an option to turn off notifications in PvP, maybe you could discuss why? That there would be something a little more constructive... wouldn't it?

ZOS really should take note of which addons are most popular and why.

"No, thank you!" addon has options to remove such notifications.

Console players, I would not want to be in your shoes.
Addons add so much to everyday quality of life in ESO.

I cannot imagine to play the game without the "Advanced Filters" addon.

I feel bad for you console players having to play this game with no addons...maybe with Fallout 4 and its groundbreaking mods for the game coming to consoles soon they'll let you guys also mod ESO like us PC players can.

I complained one on one through a ticket. It took much backing and forthing before I convinced thrm that, yes, I wanted them to just remove me from the campaign. It should not have taken that. I was getting notices from a campaign I wasn't even in.

What I would like is some sort of "Cyrodiil Log" that puts all that stuff that would pop up as a notification into a log page that I can read when I log on. So I know what happened in Cyrodiil while I was sleeping or at work.

OKOK, this last week I haven't been playing any PvP, just lots of Dungeons, Trials, and Maelstrom... the PvP notifications from Thornblade have been ridiculously frequent. Massive text across the screen while you are trying to concentrate on very difficult PvE content is extremely distracting.

This last week in PvE had been incredibly annoying because of this stupid feature. Leaving the campaign for a week or so is not even possible. This really is so ridiculous.

Please ZOS can you fix this! How long do people have to complain for before we get a simple toggle in 'Social' in 'Options'?

PC/Mac users can use add ons, but on console we have no such ability. Adding a simple 'turn off notifications' in the Options menu (just like the Turn off Leaderboard notifications) would be so appreciated by a great many players.

Can we add the annyoing "white text updates" while doing quests that sometimes break the emmersion when you REALLY want a screenshot of the NPC doing something after talking to them and the quest updates? usually it's like a series of white text popups telling you your objectives...

I was questing the other day and was getting a little p'd off at this as well. Thx for the thread hopefully they add this. Nothing worse to try and sit there and listen to the quest dialog and have that annoying update show up smh.
