90% of you arguing leave it as it is use the following argument: " I spent time and money leveling the profession to max" Okay granted, so can we then agree that if you are at 50skill in the given craft on that character you are able to harvest said material.

That way you don't have to FORCE another player who really doesn't have skill points to spare to waste 8 or 9 skill points just to be able to pick up one resource, what if they are 50 in multiple ones now you need to spend 27 skill points minimum just to be able to farm?

The chars I have a problem with are on level 50 crafting with blacksmithing, woodworking & clothing... like I said I just don't have the skill points for them ( because I am a jack of all trades person ) why should my playstyle be infringed on in an ELDER SCROLLS ( known for it's freedom of choice ) game simply because apparently you guys think I " didn't put the time in to get the craft to 50" I did, I just don't have the skill points as stated...

The game was better the way Cyrodiil nodes worked pre 1.6 or whenever they changed the nodes level scaling...

I love the scaling the way it is. Especially now that all the nodes scale instead of 1 in 5. I have 600 of each top tier material in one day of farming!

I considered it a benefit to investing the points and time to become the best at crafting. I never thought it particularly burdensome to others, since they can decon or buy the materials with tel var stones (or guild stores). It's pretty easy to get enough for vet15, vet16 took some time though. Which is fine.

Looks like it will be changing soon though to scale to character level and passive level. Would be nice if they had a toggle to make it scale only to crafting level. My crafters tend to be low level and I like to farm with them.

Sorry OP but I like it the way it is.

I do not like it the way that it is unless the blacksmithing writs are changed.

I play in Wrothgar and Hews Bane and when my toons go through there all of the nodes are Rubedite ore but my crafting writs always require voidstone for two items and Rubedite for the main item.

This always send me to Craglorn, Bangkorai or Rivenspire to look for voidstone.

Kind of stupid in the way that it works right now.

27 points. The first point is free. You can always decon dropped gear for mats and writ surveys are nice to gain raws from your crafter. It works pretty well as is.

27 points or 30 points, it is still an entire Weapon Skill line that I can't populate with Skill Points.

It does not work well as it stands now, it is a waste of skill points and time on a non crafting character.

I don't PvE much haven't done Caldwell's Gold, none of Orc stuff and but I have been most of the Thieves Guild. I'm missing points for Group Challenges and Group Dungeons and I still have 300 skill points on my main my main is a Stamina build that uses all four weapons I craft everything but food on my main.

If you to maximize mail you would do the same with Alts Max all crafting you can respec and only take powers you actually have used in the past month and stand in awe at the points you have in powers you don't use.

    TL;DR
Spend your points on what you use and not what you may use maybe one day and never do.

90% of the people arguing for the change are effectively requesting that they be able to put in less work to achieve the same results as the people who have been able to do it the right way.

You've semi-got your wish. All battle-leveled areas level the nodes to the crafting level of each skill line. This is appropriate.

They've also made it so that you can access the starting areas of each of the two remaining factions once you have hit VR1 and completed the main story. This allows you to drag your lazy butt out to whatever area has the appropriate level crafting materials you 're looking for.

In no instance is it ever justified to allow you to craft V16 mats in a Lvl 1-5 zone. That's silly.

The game does a good job of rewarding people who put in the time and effort.

I have friends who don't have to work, so they can play ESO all day. They're clearly a lot better at the game than I, and they have better gear, more V16 characters, and an overall better position in the game. I have no problem with that. They deserve it.

I wouldn't demand that since I can only play 75% of the time they play, I should get a 33% XP boost to ensure that I can keep up.

There is no benefit to the overall community's play experience when you saturate the markets with end-game gear and mats because every lvl 10 can farm Rubedo Leather while they're questing in Auridon.

    Get real, quit being lazy.

It is not your ability, so much as your willingness to do what is right that will set you apart from the rest.
