You can block meteor and take almost no damage.
Even on my sorc, blocking it with a resto doesn't even take off 5k health.

Very true.. experienced players can negate meteor quite easily by simply blocking...
I try to streak through the target before the meteor hits.

I guess I'll be the one who says it then... I spent too long finding those damn books to level up mage's guild, to unlock the meteor, only to have it become completely useless to me because of friggin' wings (or a shield). When you see a group bunched up and you think "good, now's the time for meteor" only to watch it fly right back at you, even stronger, wasting all that ulti. mocking all that time spent to unlock it.... I hated it. I could use dawnbreaker, as its cheaper but I don't like the range. I'm glad its not reflectable, I look forward to using it again. Meteors all day everyday till the enemy claims the sky is falling.

You know you could actually target someone out in that group.. not just blind fire and forget it? Over 50% of the players in pvp is sorc or nightblade anyway and not many of those use sword and board.

I hate the change but i try to play on a mag dk and it was actually one of the main reasons i like playing mag dk. Besides that a entropy - meteor - fossile - talons combo was easy enough to pull off... even against other dks.

Meteor + fear or meteor + streak was also an easy enough combo.

I am aware of targeting a single player, but that's taking away precious time to have to figure out which of them isn't the DK, target, and then let fly while hoping they stay together. With the vicious death set its going to be even less likely larger groups stay balled up for very long. For the most part, meteor was a liability to myself and my team thanks to reflective scales. You don't want your big move to be a liability, you want it to be big and flashy. And since I'm a sorc, using meteor meant also losing my 3rd bar till I got up enough ulti back to use overload again. And while overload isn't particularly expensive it's still an deciding factor before I toss out a meteor. "Do I want to use all my ulti, and lose my 3rd bar in exchange for high damage?" Only to have it completely not do what I intended and now I'm in a far worse position. Why take that risk when dawnbreaker can hit almost has hard for less, doesn't get reflected, and allbi need to do is streak to their position to use it.

You guys that think this is a good change, doesn't something seem a bit wrong when 90% of the ultimates used in cyrodiil are just meteor? doesn't that say something about meteor? perhaps that it's too strong, op, what ever you want to call it. It was a skilled choice before, you had to choose on who you throw your meteor. People who didn't think just threw it on who ever and when that target had some king of a reflect, they paid for their carelessness. Now anyone who uses this ultimate will be rewarded, regardless of the fact that they just randomly point at an enemy without thinking, then drop their meteor.
In addition to that dk's, magicka dk's specifically are straight up the worst at solo gameplay, and having to see these meteor's hit them 1 by 1.. it hurts to look at it. they used to atleast be able to defend them selves from this ultimate, which was already very strong at it's previous reflectable state.

I actually always thought it was pretty funny seeing my Ice Comet come back at me. Bummed that I had targeted a DK, but hey... That's what happens sometimes. And it looked pretty badass too.

While I miss the reflect sometimes, It's still the easiest thing to counter so I have no problem. What I DO have a problem with is reflective scales still being bugged on console...THAT s**t is class breaking imo.

AS said, block it when you're aimed. You can hear & see circles around you when it arrives. It's not hard, really. You have the time to do it.

You cant in lag or while animations are gone though. My problem is not blocking the meteor and avoiding damage since that isnt really that hard but they took away a fun factor... reflecting meteors was one of the most awesome things you could do :(

At this rate, I just give DKs and S&B users the removal of the DOT-AOE if their reflect was up. Then all they have to do is block in initial cast.

It was always total cheese to not only completely negate meteor but have a free, stronger one given to you just because you hit a button a few seconds ago reflecting multiple projectiles.

For the people that cry "Oh but its laggy and hard to block!!" EVERYTHING is hard to block when there is a lot going on, the warning it gives you is more than enough.

For the people that cry "But we had to equip a sword and board for that skill...." Magic users have to give up their second weapon for a restro staff to heal.

While I do agree it is easier for some classes to get out of meteor than others, the reflect was little to no risk, massive reward.

I'd be happy to meet half way with this one.
