I don't see how this could hurt, assuming it caps after a few stacks. I don't want to see super max magicka + cost reduction sorcs one shotting people, no matter how funny it would be.

Although @Derra I think your time would be more productively spent petitioning for Streak to not incur a cost stack if you damage an enemy player with it. That will encourage offensive play like you want without affecting Streak's defensive nerfs, and it'd be a more realistic change for ZOS to push through since it would require many fewer resources.

One thing people dont realise is yesterday a class defining ability streak was nerfed to the ground and today it will be THEIR class' defining ability... like how scales was nerfed byreflecting the same projectile only 1 time or BoL healing 2 people in total and who knows what else will cloak get tomorrow?

I´ve made that proposition before the stacking of the cost increase was introduced.

Not knowing anything about their code but i think it would be easier to just have the cost multiplicator also apply to dmg because - that´s working code.
They´d have to create something completely new with the cost increase not applying.
Also how would they handly streaking five times and then hitting sth - does everything reset to 0 because that´s how it would have to work for the spell to be useable (or should just the current cost not be raised again - that would be really bad in terms of usability)...

I saw something funny yesterday. A sorc fighting 4 guys. He already had odds against him pretty bad, he tried to use his (class) mobility to his advantage, but these days pvp is all about gapclosers. Everytime he streaked all of the other people was gapclosing him, was kinda funny to see. My point is, he already had bad odds, but becasue his streak has a cost increase built into it his odds are only that much worse. You cant rly use streak to escape situations like that because you will only take multiple crit rushes to your back, but the fact that the sorc will already face mana issues due to nerfs to one of his class defining abilities, these kinda fights are doomed.
He cant even really use the spell reliably as a pure dmging spell due to the cost increase when facing 4 wb/crit rush spams.

Im not saying the sorc should win, not at all, but he doesnt need a cost increase on one of his abilities to stay mobile when everyone can simply gapclose you when you streak. Back when this spell was nerfed 50% of players wasnt using gapclosers for some wierd reason.

Instead of stunning people, why not knock people down when you streak through them? I would support that!

Streak either needs better mobility and magicka cost OR better damage.

Definitely not both, and this is a sorc speaking.

Why specifically damage? It is supposed to be a CC ability and provides real nice mobility, probably the best in this game. Use frags, they do good damage and stun.

@olsborg You either attack or run, not both. That's why the debuff exists.

I wasn´t arguing to improve both mobility and dmg.

But i´d like to have streak as a vaible offensive option even with the cost increase mechanic in place bc realistically this isn´t going to be removed.

But thats just it, if you have it on your bar for attack, even just a few times here and there, you still *** on your own magicka pool.
