Thanks to the amazing @NovaShadow, I could finally lay little peace in my concerns about the outlaw motif.

Here is a showcase of the craftable Outlaw Chest Motif, dyed with the colours: Black, White and Red.



So yes, the Outlaw craftable style IS the old set we know from the live game, however they did add a buttflap and crotchflap.

While I am sad they decided to add a buttflap and crotchflap, I am quite glad they didn't ruin the entire piece, and kept it good like the old.

If you get the pants could you do a similar showcase? I can't quite make out in the screenshots if the medium ones got a tailcoat like look like the heavy and light of a lot of armour seem to have.

Could you possibly manage to get screenshots of those armors on female characters? There have been issues with other new styles on female characters (namely bloating), and I'd like to see if this style is affected as well.

Sure, will make a female and male comparison a bit later, as I will try to gather the entire set for a full showdown of the crafted components, as they appear completely different than the dropped armor.

I'm sad to say that there is no robe counterpart, the Jerkin and the Robe look precisely the same, and both is without any actual robe, but only the top.

I use all medium armour but the light and heavy always seem to be the cooler ones.. just look at those asymmetric pieces.

The initiate costume is definitely not what npcs are wearing in game (1rst screenshot of OP) and the motif is ok but different and less cool imo.

Look at this (from cyrodiil live) :




I wish we could have that outfit, I'm disappointed honestly we don't have it in TG. I am still hoping we get it from completing the main quest of TG.

Just looks like the light outlaw one from the other pictures we have seen. The costume seems like a mix of light and medium.

It is the outlaw craftable light armor man! Look at the preview of the chest items that I linked earlier!

I am a bit sad that it looks like they changed medium armour pants from how it was in this:

What happened to the tailcoat pants? atm the only craftable medium armour pants that look remotely interesting is the Xivkyn ones. They didn't change the light and heavy pants from the old concept art. Just medium..

Can anyone confirm this? God I will forever hate whoever decided to ruin the most amazing armor, in favor of this abomination of an armor. Why must EVERYTHING have a butt/crotch flap on it? They're so annoying and imprectable, one of the many reasons I was looking forward to the Thieves Guild armor that is currently exclusive to few NPC's in the live game.

Please, someone tell me that they did not change the Thieves Guild/Outlaws armor from what it used to be..

I can promise you that such a flappy floppy flap won't protect any part of your body, but only hinder your movement.

I still hope there will come a toggle for these nasty flaps, for they're ruining many otherwise good chestpieces for a lot of people.

Totaly agree.

the flap on the medium armor has ruined it, it was unique before hand, now it is fitting in with the rest of the generic armor templates.

Seems ridiculous to have such a thing get in the way of your movement, sure maybe have it on a heavy piece of armor if protection is what you care more about, but on medium armors and even light, it's more about the freedom of movement surely.

I would be happy if they just reverted that chest piece to have it how it was prior to patch 2.3.

Still only seen the chest, really want to see the pants.. I find it a bit sad that medium is the only one without a major asymmetrical part.

Still looking for it, sadly I haven't heard of anyone finding the drop for it yet.
