Toppling Charge is still bugged

    Hotfix - Templar style

    Updated tooltip to reflect full functionality of Toppling Charge:

    Roll the dice of the divine, giving you an 80% chance to charge with your lance to impale an enemy and, inexplicably, yourself. If casting, enemy is interrupted and stunned for 3 seconds. You are stunned for 0.25 seconds no matter what.

    If your gamble fails, your next 5 attempts to mash the button while you briskly trot up to your target will also fail. If your gamble succeeds there is a 5% chance that you gain the unique Panicked Silence skill indefinitely. While silenced you may not use any skills or attacks whatsoever but you can freely express your panic by running around until you use a potion or die.

    Always stuns enemies for 1.5 (2.4 @ Rank 4) seconds and casting targets are set off balance for 5 seconds.

    Absolutely terrible. Saying anything mean about the development team is obviously a huge no-no, but they make it incredibly difficult not to.

    PvP Templar suffers enough from lack of mobility and nerfed heals. Give us that Trinimac jump! It's technically Aedric right? So a perfect fit!

    We're more likely to see peace on earth than a fix for this. It has been broken for an entire 22 months. As far as I'm concerned, Templars have one less class ability than the other classes. Just forget it exists. Create a play style without it, and be that much more proud when you are victorious.

    Has anyone seen an ability remain broken for the entire life of any other mmo?

    It's embarrassing to say the least.
    With TG dlc, I found out Radiant destruction wasnt supposed to be dodgeable, yet it stayed that way monthes, and I can't count number of times I lost battles because of that.

    Q: How about Toppling Charge? It is not 'completely fixed'... when will it be?

    A: Our patch note wasn't specific enough. We fixed the issue of unresponsiveness when you weapon swapped (it would take a long time if you weapon swapped). Now it is more useful if you want to charge and swap. There are still some issues-- some weird terrain issues. But we'll inform users more to let them know when they can't charge. And there is also server lag so it can't draw path data for any abilities. So there's definitely more complicated issues... and they are complicated. We'd like to get them in but we're doing a lot of things.

    Nothing about the Global Cool Down. Wrobel didn't even acknowledge it.

    Playing a Templar felt like adopting a 3 legged dog and nurturing him to be strong, healthy, and adapt to a certain life style (play style). Now the dog has 1 leg.

    they should just make it a teleport. The lunge isn't working.

    Pop wings, pose, and appear behind enemy.

    or

    have it stick to the ground like critical charge and add afterimages.

    "Get on board the spear train!"


    or

    Goldberg's spear. A literal shoulder tackle

    or

    the Johny Cage shadow kick with afterimages.

    Templar has light spear in hand and kicks forward.

    Ambush stuns when cast from stealth. Invasion is a hard CC. Don't necro my thread, make your own.

    Guys... Going to be 100% legit here.

    They couldn't fix the stranglers in VMA arena 3, or DSA arena 3, Or Toppling charge...all stemming from the same pathing issues.

    So what did Zos do in VMA? they took away the stranglers ability to pull you. They Cannot fix toppling charge. In the end what they'll probably do is toss up their hands like they did in VMA, and give you a snare instead. it is beyond their abilities to fix something like this because the terrain in the world is Wildly different everywhere you go...and in order to fix issues like this, they'd have to make a fix for every square inch of the game...something that they could not do for a single static arena...so...yeah. Enjoy the snare ability you'll be getting . lol

    And till then I'mma stand upon every pebble I see in the Fields of cyrodil and praise my tactical genius!

    Templars have been throwing MASSIVE fits over toppling charge being bugged. and it's "class breaking" to them. Templars consider for a second that our Entire classes Sustained damage is based on 1 skill. it's why we get pugged into groups, and it's what almost everyone is looking to us for when we show up to a trial, and for it to simply not work... or while doing a deathless run, having it stop working on arena 8 last boss...and to have to "TRY" to complete the deathless run with another ultimate. Toppling charge is a regular skill u can simply take off your bar and still be functional without. Overload is something ENTIRE builds are built around, and it doesn't function.

    Just throwing it out there...but I've never seen anyone ask for templars to slot the skill or GTFO like I've seen requests for OL.

    For those that don't know " overload" is a sorcs ultimate... and it randomly decides to get stuck in HEAVY attack mode, and randomly fire at non-targets, and also just simply stops working all together...and this usually requires a logout (kicks your from pvp at prime time) or for you to go kill yourself. which stops a fantastic no death attempt on various dungeons including VMA, and can be downright crippling when people are counting on your burst damage to get through a certain part of the dungeon.

    Did you even bother looking to see how old this thread is? Start your own thread about sorcs if it's that big of an issue for you. Toppling Charge is not an essential tool for pve dungeons, in fact it's a dps loss with its GCD and buggy behavior, but it's a vital part of a magicka templar's melee dps rotation in pvp. Seriously, each bug has its own group of players seeking for a priority fix, and trying to imply that overload is more important than something else is just an unappreciated, bigoted opinion. Better yet, every gap closer apart from Ambush / Lotus Fan is displaying the same behavior as Toppling Charge, which affects every class apart from magicka sorcs and magicka nightblades.
    For those that don't know, that's the majority of the player base.

    @ZOS_AlanG Please close this before more people assume it's a current discussion.

    This is still an issue at eu live. only way to get it to work is to do a heavy attack then u can charge again...

    they could also make the skill work like the charge from 2h?
    Still a grudge, only to see false what u want and nothing less.
