No, the only way you'd get me to quit ESO was if they either made the game unplayable awful (not likely) or something I liked -more- was released (But so far there is not even a glint in some developers eye for a Mass Effect MMO, so...)

I heard ESO stands no chance against Wildstar.

And it certainly will be crushed by the new expansion GW2 gets out.

But all of that won't matter once Everquest Next releases.

Im super excited about Conan Exiles, if Funcom did their homework from Ark, Dayz, H1Z1, etc it might be good. Actually Conan Exiles might save the 2016 for me personally. Funcom please dont screw it up. Why cant PS4 have Early Access? Im definitely on board.

I resisted WOW for a long time, because of the cartoony graphics, etc. Years after it launched I actually gave it a proper try. Hooked my like no other game has. There really is a reason why it has completely dominated the MMO landscape for so long. Those Blizzard folk really know what they are doing (and frankly, make ZOS look like the rankest of amateurs in comparison).

To those who've never played but dismiss WOW: you truly don't know what you are missing (by definition!). And to those who've played WOW and now are playing ESO: you do understand the score, and like me, probably happily played WOW for years but have been there, done that and time for something new.

Eh, WOW has never, ever interested me as I generally don't like MMO's. The main reason I'm here is because I ran out of Elder Scrolls and this had been a year since I'd played beta, plus had just gone B2P.

I tried WOW for a few weeks when there was a free trial. I have friends who played WOW. I could NOT stand the graphics and was not hooked with the story. So, after trying the game, I abandoned it. I figured at the time, I would never play a MMO. Fortunately for me, there was a game that had me hooked within the first five minutes of my seeing the game. It is called Oblivion. I feel in love with the story and the lore. When they announced that Elder Scrolls would have a MMO, I reluctantly decided to give the game a shot. See the attached letters after my name? That's a beta tag. I have been on this game ever since beta. I have no intention of ever leaving. I have found home.

So long and don't let the door hit you on the way back to the cartoon with no storyline.

You also realise that by time Legion releases, ESO will have had at least 3 content updates (if the September release schedule is accurate) with a 4th on the way, each with a quality of life base patch, possibly either housing or arenas by then too.

What will WoW get but one expansion and one base patch?

WoW isn't a possibility for me as long as it stays with the required subscription. >_<

And anyway, I think I would like ESO better anyway. I haven't played every MMO, but I would say ESO is my favorite MMO so far.

This game for me had his chance and now is over. I paid from the begining, I bought crowns, I was an eso plus member and I wait and wait giving a chance, with the hope that someday I will be satisfied, but nothing of that happened, for me is even worst. DLC don't like and pvp in general has problems, has lag, has big disadvantages, bugs and etc.

I haven't touched WOW since Lotro released. There are several mmos I'd rather play than that *** game.
Right now I'm really enjoying ESO and when I'm taking a break or leaving it will be most likely for singleplayer game.
All things considered this is by far the best MMO out there for me. Sure SWTOR has better story but combat in that game is pure torture.
I just started silver and have propably been playing 3-4 months so I have lots of content still left.

Not going to happen, the graphics dont even come close to ESO.

I logged into my EQ1 account last month for the first time in years, (played EQ1 for like 4 to 5 years ) Played Wow for about a year as well , I could not even spend 15 mins in the game because the graphics were so poor, ESO has spoiled me , a New game is goings to have to blow me away in many aspects for me to even think about going to another game, so far I have seen none, even BDO doesn't really impress me much.

I guess you could argue the "Realm vs Realm" combat is ESO's thing, but there are two major MMOs coming out very soon with an even greater PvP focus, and that's what I hear all of the "real" PvPers talking about. Further down the line you have something like Crowfall, which will hopefully be the definitive large-scale siege PvP MMO.

ESO needs its thing, but I don't think ESO knows what it wants its thing to be.

"Realm vs Realm" like ESO is only available in 3 games (DAoC, ESO and to a lesser extend GW2), with only 1 future one providing a similar experience (Camelot Unchained). No other MMO that I know off will provide a similar RvR playstyle. (separate PvE / PvP zone with the PvP zone a huge map with 3 factions fighting it out, not a silly 10 minute instanced timer)

It's the main reason I play this game.. since it's the ONLY MMO after DAoC that gives a similar playstyle. (GW2's map is split and too small)

I hope all WoW fanboys return to that game.. so that this one doesn't turn in your typical WoW gear grinder.. which is what has started to happen with the VR10 -> VR12 -> VR14 -> VR16 bumps and increased gear cost.

WoW stopped being fun after Tbc/Wotlk, I doubt many will go there considering how many other fun games there are out there now.
