I have no idea when Legion launches, but 7th march, the Q1 DLC is comming, in Q2 Dark Brotherhood DLC. Player housing and barbershop (appearance change and race change) are being worked on, small-scale PVP arenas and dueling is being worked on...

Ill definitelly be playing WoW when Legion comes out. I always go back for a new expansion. Theres no MMO that can keep me playing permanently anymore. But with WoW I know I can expect 3-4 months of solid fun doing properly designed, polished, challenging and well itemized group content with people (and characters) Ive known for over 10 years. Im a raider at heart and no game does raiding better than WoW.

I honestly can't tell if this post is serious or not... Granted, a lot of people are leaving the game, as they have been for a long time ( this is nothing new, at all), but to... WoW? Naw bruh, you got to elevate your gaming. You're heading in the wrong direction.
PS, ZOS already has your money, they could not care any less if you stay or go. Even if you were a subscriber or "active spender" in the crown department, there's always other people buying the game and silly stuff in the crown store every single day. This "exodus" will not effect them, as a company, any more than each of the "exoduses" (or is it exodi?) of each major content update.

They're scrapping the HERO Engine... something ZOS should have done too but... we've got what we've got.

ZOS is not using Hero Engine. It was only used as a platform to prototype the game while they were developing their own engine. That's why Hero Engine is not given any kind of credit when you launch the game. Why does this rumour keep persisting, despite all the facts out there?

I've got my issues with ESO, but none so bad that they would make me go back to WoW. No matter what changes or updates WoW rolls out, I feel zero pull to ever launch it again.

Odds are good that I'll bail on ESO for a new game at some point, but not to go back to an old one.

I think ESO has its niche, even though it doesn't really have anything major to grab people's attention. SWTOR does story better. WoW does theme park better. FFXIV does end-game PvE better. GW2 does "cash shop dress up game" better.

I guess you could argue the "Realm vs Realm" combat is ESO's thing, but there are two major MMOs coming out very soon with an even greater PvP focus, and that's what I hear all of the "real" PvPers talking about. Further down the line you have something like Crowfall, which will hopefully be the definitive large-scale siege PvP MMO.

ESO needs its thing, but I don't think ESO knows what it wants its thing to be.

People said the same things about ArcheAge and Wildstar when they were released. While some many return to WoW, I can't imagine it making that big of a dent into the ESO community. Each game caters to a different type of player (not to mention WoW requires a sub). Personally, I cringe at the thought of returning to WoW.

Those players will go to legion for one month then leave before the quarter is over.

ESO is fine, if anything they need to make something to grab all those WoW players that will be so disappointed in how legion somehow out flopped WoD. ( WoD literally lost half of WoW playerbase after one quarter.)

Also us console players aren't getting WoW, and our dungeon finders are instant unlike the PC version so it makes me feel like their are more players on the console.

Played WoW for over 8 or-so years off & on and it isn't what it used to be. I prefer ESO now.
