I didn't know if they nuked them, but they actually took one out (the one where you had to catch different colored frogs). I don't know if it's made it back yet.

There was another quest that was up the first couple of days, in Vulkhel Guard that involved some debtors or gamblers or something. It disappeared shortly after the game launched.

Oh, yeh yeh I remember that one. You had to go around and collect from a few different npcs.
Yes, and the last we heard about it was in Patch Notes 1.01, released on April 2, 2014:

    Quests
    Auridon
    • In the name of the Queen: Fixed an issue in the quest where the priestesses at the Northern and Western ritual sites would occasionally get stuck in a kneeling pose, blocking your progress.
    • New in Town: Malareth has been run out of Vulkhel Guard for the time being, but she vows to return at a later date. Those of you on this quest are advised to abandon the quest until she returns. Not completing this quest will not impact any achievements.

"Malareth has been run out of Vulkhel Guard for the time being, but she vows to return at a later date."

    How much later

    No ETA on that

I have quite a selective memory, but I do seem to recall large parties at the end of beta, there were a lot of fireworks and naked people dancing around. You never forget something like that.

When one group does it.. they think everyone else is doing it too.. *shrug*

What made Doshia hard for me wasnt the fact that she was all that difficult but that in the EP shes in this small little chamber. And when she'd pop that life leeching ability you wouldnt have the time to get to all the orbs before they converged on her. So the end result was this prolonged fight where she'd sap you of health, youd get maybe one or two orbs and then the other two would heal her back to almost full or full health. Eventually she'd work you down as there really wasnt much of a response to that ability as long as she stood in the corner area the way you found her.

I was eventually able to figure out how to get her to come chase after you but my first class was Melee so the instinct there isnt to give her distance but to take that away from her. At the time I didnt know that she'd rush you if you fell back.

Yup, I fought her in late beta on my EP DK, then recreated that DK for early access and fought her again. At least two orbs seemed to hit her before I could get to her. Now, though, I could just light attack her to death in less than a minute. Balreth wasn't much better last time I faced him.

Remeber when everyone used to grind at the cliffs of failure in cold harbour? Also that bugged quest where you needed to plant seeds in dead bodies. You were only given six seeds and using them would consume them but would not advance the quest. It took them what seemed like ages to fix that one.

Gotta add this one in: 1mil for consummate honey brittle recipe.

Me: It's[WB spamming DK] a really cheesy build

I remember being unable to move the Brothers of Strife questline along because the Fire Atronachs wouldnt spawn. There were hundreds of players on the EP side stuck there on the side of Ash Mountain for a while.

I remember when you could do kill quests in pvp indefinitely. Level up in a day with bridge fights.
    And yea, ground oil haha
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

These were always the best. And saddest. I still have some great choice screenshots from my first one back in July '13.

Looking through this folder I actually took a ton of screenshots from back then in the early betas, I bet the people that were there before me got some really awesome ones.

Yep, the end of beta parties were great :-)

Also, I remember when the Mournhold wayshrine was actually outside the city on a very tiny island in the middle of the water that you had to wade/swim out to, in order to use it. I believe its still shown that way on one of the loading screen pictures.

Ah the Honey Brittle. A time when you get Sweetrolls that buffed one stat, and then better sweetrolls that did two stats, and then Consummate Sweetrolls that did three. Oh, and very expensive tomatoes.

You could run across to the island from west to east and east to west. You can still do this by simply entering the lake from where the Undaunted Enclave sits currently or the direct opposite side of the lake from the Enclave.

I remember using Sap Essence and Steel Tornado on the same bar and actually doing great damage with both. Sigh, WTB Soft Caps.

I also remember dying constantly to NPCs within my first few weeks of playing, making the "Free Revive" passive actually worth while. Now it seems you only die to NPCs if you AFK unexpectedly.

Thanks for this! I recently went back to Auridon for the first time in, er, ages. I was taking my character through Vulkhel Guard and I kept thinking "I'm sure there should be another quest around the docks...". Well, now I know why I couldn't find it!
