It was easily "far worse" than the lag in ESO. The only acceptable lag was 8 man ganksquads... keep battles were lagfests, artifact keep battles were always lagged to a crawl. Any mass movement of armies was so bad you could tell where they were just by facing their direction.
I haven't the vaguest idea about atlantis onward where their population disappeared (and wow came out), but it wasn't the sunny meadow of pvp fun in mass combat it's being made out to be.
But funny seeing Mark Jacobs name attached, if anyone was an old VN boards dweller and remembers him getting trolled out in beta to "beat down" some troll that was telling everyone it was going to be 39.99 a month and "forced" him to reveal the actual monthly rate... well, haha... not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed to allow himself to be trolled out like that. When I pmed him about it and asked for beta access he messaged me back "not on a cold day in hell", I got in anyways though...
Look GoS pulled a Haxus and created a new guild called Invictus with only certain players they cherry picked! I guess they got tired of the quality of players they had in GoS

I heard tomatoes are silky moist this time of the year.

I can handle this..I can lol
By less reliable or weaker I refer to people self absorbed with making self-aggrandizing videos, 1vX, only worrying about AP gain, personal gratification, and generally being elitist *** vs working towards strengthening the guild, bonds, ties, friendships, and fun factor.
I don't think you realize how early in development CU actually is, When they say Alpha they actually mean Alpha...not Glorified betas that a lot of games call Alphas.
Yes, it's an "Old school Alpha." I was an early backer and heard all the hype about their approach. I have played several versions of the Alpha releases. I understand that it will change drastically.
But that's kinda the point...saying that it doesn't lag now means very little to me. The game as it stands in Alpha is not the game which the servers (and network) will need to support.
Many moons ago i saw the emergence of the next big thing from a PVP perspective
Many of the top Guilds left at around the same time from UO (Ultima Online) Siege Perilous and put their faith in a new game that just entered Beta
The game i am referring to was Shadowbane and history shows it was a bad decision
Never be too hasty when sometimes its better to stick to the devil you know
I wish those from GoS who have chosen the CU path the best
The formation of 2 Fresh Guilds even if that,s sort of what happened from the remnants of such a respected guild who have proven themselves on the Cyrodill battlefield might just be the tonic EP needs
I can also see @Rylana,s point of view in making the most of who is left and keep the GoS going but that's water under the bridge now
With good Leadership you can achieve plenty by just doing the basics right
ESO is not going anywhere and although there is no doubt many posters expressing so much doom and gloom on the PVP front most of it is actually caused by what is unknown rather than what is known
I think the next 2 ESO Lives will give us much more of a perspective on things PVP wise
To some this is Judgement Day but i still think ESO has much to offer the PVP Community going forward
At least Brian Wheeler gives as much transparency as he is allowed to give
We just need Eric Wrobel to do the same
