I am disappointed by the changes.
I made this post as a result of my personal feelings about the DLC.

I feel as if content was added but it was very minimal. Maelstrom is very cool, I am going to try and get my CP up and then put in some solid attempts.

Ultimately I am disappointed. I think that Battle Leveling is totally ridiculous, players don't need to work for their levels and it basically makes the game have two levels, V15 and V16. If you join a dungeon, you are V15, if you go into PVP, you are V15. I really am not a fan of that.

Additionally, I am super disappointed there were no additional dungeons added (I know this was stated prior but I found Orsinium entirely underwhelming and I was hoping for more), no new trials or anything. Literally there have been major additions besides Maelstrom.

I wouldn't say I think the changes are game-breaking, but I am bored with the new content right after release and see minimal benefit to grinding new characters because everyone is battle leveled.

Love Orsinium, the PvP thing, I can't tell a difference, but I've been vet 16 for a long while now so almost all pre 16 opponents are the same. In that as much I know I have a clear and strong advantage.

The crafting grind I like, the dlc has made it extremely easy to get the mats. I like the game a lot.

Would like some more daedra and 1v1 pvp tho

I love Orsinium and almost everything with it. It's fabulously designed and so much fun! Great story, fun dailies, people always abound and the zone has purpose and meaning, things that IC is sorely missing.

But I hate vMA with a burning passion. It has literally deleted ingenuity from the game and designed content specifically for cookie-cutter builds. It is the second step in removing player skill from the game, the first being the CP system. Some people aren't bothered by it, because they get their fun from being top dog in a video game instead of actually just playing it for fun.

So, when you have content that cannot be done in say, 5PC Death's Wind and 5PC Storm Knight, you should probably re-evaluate how you got to that point.

I am disappointed by the changes because they were non sequitor and counter intuitive.

The whole point of cross faction grouping for dungeons is to do dungeons with your friends. When you fail the community like this you fail yourselves. Please let logic dictate your updates in the future.

I just got done playing through the main storyline in Orsinium. I wont spoil anything but Ill say I was rather impressed with the direction they took the story. It wasnt bland and typical of the other stories you experience in the game. One of my criticisms of ESO was how stereotypical the stories could be. And while Orsiniums storyline isnt unique. Its different enough from the mainstay that it was definitely a welcomed change.

I feel like ZOS is going in a good direction in general. They seemed a bit lost in the sauce for the first year of the game. Which can be typical for new companies jumping into MMOs. They have to find what works for them. IC was definitely something that made me worried for the future of the game. But I feel like Orsinium has kind of settled my concerns. If Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood stick with the way Orsinium was handled I think the game will be absolutely fine.

Orsinium is cool, but the decision to make crafting something that can only be achieved by people that play all day has really disappointed me. Working on becoming a master crafter was something fun and basically the only activity, besides questing for vendor trash and tiny amounts of gold, that seemed achievable with the limited time I have to play the game every evening.

Well not anymore with the BoP nonsense. Just quests for trash and small amounts of gold for me I guess.

This kind of shift was inevitable with B2P. Subbing is egalitarian: everyone contributes the same amount, thus the dev's focus on making the game as widely enjoyable as possible. With B2P/F2P the dev's focus shifts naturally toward those who will spend the most money (i.e. those who play/grind obsessively, also i.e. whales) and they modify gameplay accordingly .

I subscribe and spend money too. Money from a player with limited time is just as important as the money from a player that grinds all day everyday. Well should be anyway. ZOS seems to disagree.

    This.
I was really disappointed when I saw that this arena is solo-only. While my main is a tank
Yeah, ofc, I can do it on one of my dds, but my favouritre pve role is completely non-viable for this and I cannot put my main char's name on the leaderboard without changing it drastically.
Group bosses are fun... Until you beat them all. Same for the quests and public dungeons.
Also, pve raiding is dead, many competitive players left so there's no incentive to work for better leaderboard scores. Vr15-16 killed trials and dsa, and dsa was my favoutite thing in this game. In my raiding guild that used to do SO and other trials on a regular basis there wasnt any raids since IC release and Orsinium didnt bring highly demanded vr16 versions of trials.
Though I like the new battle leveling and group finder changes. And Wrothgar is really awesome looking location... The problem is, there's nothing to do in game when you finish all the quests. We really need some repeatable endgame content. Imo, vdsa was a huge success and I would really like to see something like this.

I play quite a bit as a console players. I'm not my 4th V16 and I really don't feel like the changes cater toward 'hardcore players' it really doesn't seem like it caters to anyone really. I just think a lot of the changes are just bad.

The new area is super cool but I won't spend any time there because there isn't much of value there from my prespective.

Hmm im there for the crafting mats. I really dislike buying gear, I want to earn or craft everything I use. This means hours upon days of searching, crafting, doing PvE to get skill points.

Im gearing up for the PvE. Not only that, Im personally saving silver and gold for after my gearing/leveling and PvPing.

Im going to really enjoy listening to each NPC, reading lore books, helping these people etc...

I feel like I fall into the perfect category for this game. Slow paced and independent, I still want alts and because its been so long since PvE it'll all be fresh to me again.

I still have dungeons (all of them pretty much lol) One day I wanna be emperor. I wanna do werewolf and vampire quest lines.

And if they ever put in 1v1 etc... ill spend all day there.

About Orsinium, the biggest difference between it and each other land is the openness of the land. In each other place ive been to I can feel the landscape guiding me to certain and specific locations. I do not get that feeling in the dlc

I guess part of my issue is there is like 18 areas. A new DLC comes out that costs half of what the game does and we get 1/18th added to the map, a single player DSA, and for console they added UI tools that should've been there (we still have no dps trackers or anything)

I really can't stand the new dungeon finder automatically putting every mob to VR16, just do it the way all other major MMOs do it and that would be amazing. Also we need text chat on console ASAP!

PVE has come a long way and is generally very good.

Cyrodiil is a piece of ****. The server performance is complete garbage and usually very demoralizing such as what AD went through tonight at Alessia and Roe through our home keeps trying to defend against crippling lag and freezes, boots to load screens etc.

    IC is a wasteland

I like Craglorn, but it's empty.

Wrothgar is meh. It should have been more expansive, everything feels jammed in to it's space. The main character was a total cheez. At least the WB are challenging. Though I hate the fact that crafting materials scale. I had a separate character for gathering and it was pain to work out skill points.

I can't remember where or what, but the main quest plot is pulled from something very familiar, I had it figured out about two hours in :/ .

He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". Im slightly disappointed, I hoped alot more from Orsinium, its way too basic zone, I wish adventure zones would be more unique, if they keep going like this, this aint gonna do it for ESO. Dont get me wrong, Ive finished Orsinium already but from marketting point of view this aint gonna work, needs more innovation to draw people.

    1) Exploration zone. Massive zone, lots of fog, you cant see far, monsters move around and you pump into them, true explorers dream. Zone where you can really get lost.
    2) Sea-combat. Nuff said.

That kind of stuff is what we need.

Didn't get the DLC since for 2 reasons...

    - I refuse to support Zos until they actually finish IC. Packing a bunch of mobs and enabling PVP in a pointless zone is not ok to pass of as a PvP DLC

-3,000 crowns for a mini DLC is a bit extreme. That's almost Expansion pack prices
