Unexpected look on the 1h Akaviri sword. Why are you afraid to give us a craftable katana-like motif

What the title says. The akaviri armor is samurai/eastern-like armor, like the old PvP armors. But the craftable swords do not have katana-like look. Any particular reason on that, considering that the old Potentates set had a katana looking sword?

top row is Akaviri, and the Drake of blades in IC wears Akaviri and has Katana's at her hips, that is what I want to craft. Hell, even Ayrenn has a Akaviri katana at her hip and that was there since game launch.

kkampaseb17_ESO✭✭✭What is funny is that the old PvP item set of Potentates had a katana. The PvP armor sets are the Akaviri ones. But...the new Akaviri sword looks like a miniature of the 2h PvP sword....not the 1h PvP sword.

✭✭✭✭✭Back when you did the Fighter's Guild questline, at the end of the quest, there was a choice of weapon you could get. If you chose the sword, you got the Akaviri sword.
The "new" Akaviri style being released in Orsinium is the same as that, and the sword looked identical to the sword rewarded by the Fighter's Guild quest.
That said, it is rather lore-breaking that the previous TES games had katanas as the Akaviri sword style, and this one chooses a generic sword. ✭Well, I can tell you this, since the models are already in-game (Ayrenn has one, and the Drake of Blades has them) and they have been in since launch, I am talking about the Akaviri Katana's (lords sword and potentates sword, etc), the 1-handed swords are a deal breaker for me.
Been waiting all this time, pining and hoping and they give us a European type bladed sword, when the Katana type Models are already in-game. Durrr...

✭✭The weapons are based off of the style you get for prismatic weapons in the fighters guild quests, and the ones many of the fighters guild type npc's wear.

No. Unless you mean the armor of the Blades, which has some Akaviri influences. However, even then, low level Imperial armor in ESO looks the closest to Skyrim's Blades armor. No. Unless you mean the armor of the Blades, which has some Akaviri influences. However, even then, low level Imperial armor in ESO looks the closest to Skyrim's Blades armor. There has never been outright "Akaviri Armor" in TES before ESO.

No. Unless you mean the armor of the Blades, which has some Akaviri influences. However, even then, low level Imperial armor in ESO looks the closest to Skyrim's Blades armor. There has never been outright "Akaviri Armor" in TES before ESO.
