I mean..I just don't see the point in trying to make a class without an escape work in PvP at this point.

Thats the problem, two classes dont have escapes, and the meta is all about being able to get away from a bad fight with your loot. Im seriously contemplating if i should quit or reroll, regardless of if i can make templar work, the build i would need to run is not fun to me.
I feel like this is a sin against ZoS, but i LIKED being able to 1vX.
Pls dont nerf me more for saying it.
magicka DKs are definetly harder to play. the difference between a magicka DK and a stam DK is that a stam DK uses weapon abilities for damage which reinforces the fact that the magicka abilities lack the same damage and cost. I theorized a magicka DK build, tried it on live, found out how *** the sustain and damage was and reverted back to stam which is super balanced.
Mist form truly is the only DK escape and mist form is the only reason i still clutch onto vamp. Problem is that DK/templar are supposed to be the stand there and fight til the bitter end type of class but like said above, the shift away from being able to do that hurts them tremendously.
I hope DK buffs are coming but i wouldnt hold my breath. They wont implement class changes til orsium is released either so its really reroll stam, reroll class or reroll life.

Nah dude, I like being allowed to go stamina DK. Or, like, -anything- stamina. Though there's certainly been some things taken out that would be nice to see come back. I have no idea what your pot build is but sure man, go for it, let's have that again.
stamina was functional in 1.5.... very functional, just ask @xylena
Was it viable in large groups, though? I might have my patches confused, and I definitely joined PvP later than some of the folks here, but I'm pretty sure 1.5 was the patch where everyone was running around with a flame staff using impulse and you couldn't use half your skills or you'd feed the other group's negates, which were the deciding factor in a lot of fights. IDK, I think there's a lot more room for build variety in recent patches, the only thing that's kind of irking me right now is the slow ult gen. Even that's not so bad, you can still wipe a force that outnumbers you with good tactics, it's just a little harder. I might need to experience more large group fights this patch to feel that's 100% true, but it's still not "strictly" a numbers game.
#Remove AOE Cap
#Bring back Ground Oil
#Bring back Meatbag healing debuff 40%
Yuss.
@blabafat there's a point where adaptation and blatant disregard and idiocy don't mix Blab, the battle spirit changes for this patch is blatant disregard and idiocy, also a monument to ZoS's laziness.
Sorc shields OP? Nerf all shields.
Stam Dmg OP? Nerf all damage.
And then the healing nerf which was used to go along with the dmg nerf, when the tooltip says 33% of missing health, battle spirit should not effect something that's already so small and percentage based, this is idiocy.
Then ZoS pretending to act like this change wouldn't make abilities that heal off dmg done horrible, sure they went back and fixed them, but they shouldn't of had to do that in the first place, this is blatant disregard.

I dropped my sub immediately when the game went F2P... Can't quit though, too many jack wagons that want me to stay.
Dawnbreaker was bugged.
Sorcs were.. well.. sorcs.
And Nbs...don't even need to explain that.
Congrats magicka builds being so op due to the broken skills, overload exploits and combos that were only available to one class like in this video.
I didn't see any op magicka build without any use of broken dawnbreaker of smithing.
However on the other side, some stamina builds were ignoring almost all of your armor.
I wonder how we did play that stupid patch for 7 months long.
@Master_Kas nah, damage in general was high, but if you stacked Nirn, which was broken in and of itself, you couldn't be touched by a magicka build, that's why I said Stam instead of magicka or both.
My counter to the "well sorcs and NBs have escapes so DKs and templars should too" argument has always been that DKs and Templars have awesome self heals that Sorcs and NBs don't have access too. Now that we can't say that about DKs anymore something should be done.

Bolded part, are you claiming magicka damage wasn't OP in last patch? I could oneshot vamps with my sorcs dawnbreaker, two/three shot people with curse+Db+procced CF. Without needing any stealth. Not even speaking about buffed proxy detonation which I could wipe groups of 4-5 people (who wasn't using broken nirn) Imo both magick and stamina had their "OP dmg" skills.
26k detonation, not emperor. Way higher than my highest snipes/wrecking blows.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJnp4bF6KC8
Don't get me wrong, I hate this patch, just pointed that out

Magicka Sorcs did and will always do good damage in 1v1 or 1vX focus target for a very simple reason. They only have to raise magic damage unlike DKs who have to also raise fire damage. By putting points in thaumaturgy, you don't only raise your class skills damage but also all magical ultimates and proximity detonation.
Guys why dont you use the new obsidian shard for heals?
Meanwhile lets think about some possible buffs for nightblade....
1.5...
1.6...
or I dare say...
Private servers atleast.

Stamina was barely functional, it worked for Xylena, because DK. I ran a very similar stamina build to Xylena as a NB, but was forced into restoration staff off-hand with hybrid max stats. While the end result did fine, it was far from ideal. There are some new things I'd try in 1.5, with knowledge from today. But i doubt the end result would be any better.
There are some things i miss about 1.5, like stamina drain and sparks. I think 1.6 could have actually been the better patch, if ZOS didn't sleep on all the bugs and actually communicated to us better. If they would have adjusted penetration, nirn/spell resist, the CP system.
2.1 is a train-wreck, I'm sorry if people disagree on this. All i do in this game is PvP, but it's so boring now.
I don't want to sound like a jack wagon but the only people that benefit and enjoy the benefit of 2.1's patch are hardcore zerglings that just want to follow crown and use 2 skills
So no, nobody disagrees with you

I dunno, the only place I ever see you in Cyrodiil is in a 24 man raid, but that's besides the point.
The only thing I miss about 1.5 is the dynamic ultimate generation. Besides that 1.5 was just a battle of who had the most negates in group to negate the other groups' wall of element spam. The dark flare heal debuff stacking is something I'll never miss either.
