CONFIRMED BUG WITH KAGRENAC'S HOPE DEVS PLEASE TAKE NOTE!!!

    I'm running 5 pieces of that set. 3 heavy, 1 light and 1 medium. 2 pieces are golden and the other 3 are purple. Haven't noticed any unusual damage in pvp so far, everything was within my expectations, if not even lower than what I would expect.
    Didn't play with this set in the IC with all the mobs though, so didn't have a chance to see the damage on me there.
    I will try to run some tests this weekend.

    I did a quick comparison of damage between Vr15 & Vr16 Kagrenac's using the sewer mobs right outside DC base. The damage taken was slightly less with the Vr16 set. Both sets are all light armour. All VR16 pieces are Gold, All VR15 are purple.

    VR15: Belt / Gloves / Pants / Boots
    VR16: Sword

    I did a fair bit of farming in the sewers and did not notice any issues. The previous night I got into a fight with a Sorcerer and he had me on the defensive. I wasn't running a combat log yet, but I swear each of his attacks were taking 1/3 of my health and all I could do was spam mist form and los. The times I have noticed the extra damage have been in the IC districts.

    As far as I can tell from reading the posts:

    The issues seem to be limited to IC, so far with some people with relevant sets volunteering to spend their time bug testing outside IC. It also appears to be a Kagrenac vs. anything else issue, rather than an issue between different levels or qualities of Kagrenac.

    Here is hoping we get an update from the Devs on this today.

    i could have sworn i took tons of damage today (much more than usual) form both, players and mobs in IC/sewers.
    V16 legend magnus, no kareg involved. i didn't check logs, though

    I did check old screenshots from death recaps, and I got the same amount of damage when comparing 1.6 (armor penetration bugged) to the current patch with almost the same physical resistance. Not sure if that has to do with sets, the increased weapon damage or whatever.

    I hope you are wrong, a set breaking bug on such an important set seems like a big deal to me at least. There was some colorful chat about this on the team I was on in IC last night. One of the team members who just made the set and was dropping out of the blue was pretty frustrated when I told him about this thread.

    Not sure if I've just been staying out of red, but it hasn't seemed crazy...but if there is a bug then I'd love the extra mitigation.

    Interesting... That would make sense why the damage appears to be almost exactly twice as much (and only to mobs in IC). I am going to make a crafted set of this later today to do some tests with this. I'll try to post what I find out later (with screenshots if I can).

    The plan is to check the following...
    • Entering Cyrodiil with Kagrenac's on (from Alliance Gates)
    • Entering Cyrodiil without Kagrenac's on at first then equipping it (from Alliance Gates)
    • Loading into the game directly to the Alliance Gates with Kagrenac's (requires no pop lock)
    • Loading into the game directly to the Alliance Gates without Kagrenac's at first (requires no pop lock)
    • Loading into the game directly to the Sewers with Kagrenac's (requires no pop lock)
    • Loading into the game directly to the Sewers without Kagrenac's at first (requires no pop lock)
    • Removing Kagrenac's set if bug is not at first apparent, then re-equipping it

    I will also try this with battle leveling on and off. The main focus of testing this is to see if there is a desync with the Battle Spirit buff and the resurrection speed passive under the Support skill line (since Kagrenac's adds res speed and may be causing issues with the order of which these effects are added when entering or equipping the set in Cyrodiil and Imperial City).

    I'm running a mix of 3 gold VR16 Kag pieces and 2 purple VR14 kag pieces. I have not noticed the crazy damage you guys are talking about from mobs in IC or elsewhere.

    I just started wearing the 5 pc v15 (well, 4pc armor & staff)

    Not sure if it's related or not but I was really excited to test out the resurrection speed. The 1st time I tried it was in IC. I noticed ZERO difference. Took just a long without it.
    However, when I was in Cyrodiil, It worked very quickly. I would say I resurrected 2 people faster than the res I did in IC.

    Not sure if I'm helping or not lol

    So I ran these tests with the following gear setup...

    V14 Green Kagernac's Hope and V14 Green Magnus (as the control variable)
    Light Armor - Head (Infused), Shoulders (Divines), Pants (Infused)
    Heavy Armor - Chest (Infused), Boots (Divines)


    I was unable to get this double* damage bug using the test plan I detailed above with either gear sets (tested on Sweepers in the IC sewers and Bosses in the Imperial City).

    I then wondered if it was an issue with gear rarity or level, so I decided to craft may planned V16 Set of Kagernac's to see if that would make a difference (since some people were experiencing it with Gold and Purple gear). I used 2 Gold Light Armor pieces (Pants and Shoulders), 1 Purple Light Armor (Head), and 2 Gold Heavy Pieces (Chest and Boots). This gear also had the same traits as detailed above.

    ...Again was unable to get double* damage.

    At this point I am wondering if it is an issue with only all Light sets, all Heavy sets, or sets with all gear at the same rarity of Blue or greater (mine was mixed).

    * - roughly double or a noticeable increase of damage.

    I have kags :-( but also have the 'armour master' set in another toon. All heavy, using heavy armour Sheild,and buffs I took almost 60k damage from a sweeper 3 times. Is 60K damage normal?, or do I now have two broken sets?

    If you stand in the red or don't dodge telegraphed abilities, yes.

    You mean Kagrenac, the Dwemer tonal architect? Maybe the reason the dwarves went extinct is because he was making their armor.

    There's another thing I've noticed while wearing Kagrenac's Hope: my magicka regen was really afwull! Though my build stats showed that I had 1026 magicka regen + I stood in Templar's Rune focus all the time (it's another 400 regen) but still magicka regenerated soooo low as if I had around 500 mag. regen.

    I don't have the screenshot for kagrenacs gold v16 at the moment but the last bonus give you 224sd, 25%fasts resurrect and something around 1700 magicka back on Rez

    I noticed to that something is wrong with the kragrenic set, with my v14 5 pc martial knowledge i could solo the portals in ic, when i changed to 5 pc v15 kragrenic i was no longer be abled to do this.

    Myself and a number of others I play with are extremely interested to know what the case is/when this is fixed as we are all waiting to know if we should use those hard earned IC grind mats on this gear.

    Using 750 mats on long-term broken gear would make us sad, but so would using those mats on something else in the mean time to then have this gear working tomorrow.
