These seem like funky numbers to me

I have a 5 Hawk Eye with 5 Night's Silence running 2100 weapon damage
and a 5 piece hundings, 4 dreugh + 2 shadow running 2100 as well?

What determines Weapon Damage now, stamina? not weapon damage....

Can anyone explain how weapon damage is calculated now?

How anyone achieves 4k is beyond me.

Weapon and spell damage on sets got nerfed by 35% or so, no one is getting 4K anymore.

    That's good to know.

Can you give further details on your item sets, namely level and set bonus weapon damage? Also what mundus are you using and what enchantments do you have on your jewellery and what skills passives and actives that are increasing weapon damage?

In general, I find that weapon damage is simply Gear*Bonuses.

I has 3200 Weapon damage now and have yet to upgrade 3 pieces on my body to v16 and am still using v1 ravagers rings and neck. It is possible to get 4k with perfect gear imo. I estimate i should have around 3.4k when my body armor pieces are upgraded to v16 and getting the new agility rings would put me at 3.6 maybe? Then all i would need is a proper undaunted helm to proc my molag kena set to finish the build.

    (2)V16 Sorc- mag dps/stam dps
    (2)V16 nb- stam dps/mag dps
    (1)v16 temp- mag tank/mag dps
    CP: 610 and counting

It's possible to get up to 5k+ Weapon Damage now with Dual Wield + Molag Kena. It however also requires complete dedication to achieving such high numbers at the expense of pretty much everything else.

For example, let's use this gear setup:

Note that these are rough numbers, and do not take into account divines on gear. I put the math in spoiler tags, to cut down on post length.
    2pc VR16 Molag Kena (129 WD + 600 WD Overkill Proc)
    5pc VR16 Hunding's Rage (299 WD)
    3pc VR16 Agility (170 WD)
    2pc VR14 Shadow Walker (120 WD)

2x VR16 Maces (1300 WD each, 1638 WD together with 2/2 Dual Wield Expert passive)

    Warrior Mundus (160 Weapon Damage)

3x Weapon Damage Jewlery Enchants (171 WD each, 513 Weapon Damage together)

So... Now let's add up all the WD we get from gear:
    129 + 600 + 299 + 170 + 120 + 1638 + 513 + 160 = 3629 Weapon Damage.

Now, let's factor in the % bonuses to Weapon Damage:
    Flawless Dawnbreaker (+8%)
    Medium Armor Full Set (+12%)
    Total added: 20%
    3629 * 1.2 = 4354.8 Weapon Damage

Let's now add in Rally and Master Assassin:
    Rally (+20%)
Master Assassin (+10% when in stealth/invis)
    Previously Added: 20%
    Current Total % added: 50%
    3629 * 1.5 = 5443.5 Weapon Damage

Let's now add in Offensive Scroll Bonus II (5%):
    3629 * 1.55 = 5629.95 Weapon Damage

Finally, we add in Continuous Assault II (10%):
    3629 * 1.65 = 5987.85 Weapon Damage

It is therefore completely possible to achieve high weapon damage numbers, but the sustain on this particular build I'm quoting is completely abysmal. You become the king of weapon damage, but you sacrifice everything else to achieve it. It really depends on the user if they think that this much weapon damage is worth the sacrifice.

This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.

You can easy reach over 4k. Even 5k is possible. The Weap dmg glypjhs on Jewelry give huge amounts now, 174/each.

Atm I am using 2 Weap dmg glyph 1 Cost reduction and I am at 4,2k Weap dmg buffed.

Are you sure weapon damage glyphs on jewels give 170 points? I thought they reversed that buff to damage glyphs.
