    Omg evry1 is spamming skills in pvp, each class not only templars, so please leave *** jabs in peace.. if som1 want to spam it, let him..

    Simple examples..

    NB - ambush-fear-suprise suprise + running circle around target, repeat if survive ofc while cloaked, not boring at all
    Sorc - shieldstackphase - mines - curse - dege - inst crystal - force shock all the wayyyy - blink - dawnbrkr and peeeewww, not boring at all, well more advanced than nb for sure
    DK - place dots - whip whip - petrify - meteor - whip - i am sorry magicka DKs, this patch u are even bad with spamming skills..
    Temp - dege - topling - jab jab jab jab - jesus

    This is a PvE point of view.
    As for PvE, I think no regen while dpsing is really a bad idea:in fact if all classes needed to do heavy attack the only one not suffering dps loss would be Dk (Molten Armaments).
    As for PvP, it would mean casting 4-5 skills and start using HA (again Dk would be perfect for this "playstyle").

    As you can see, there's no point to do something like stopping regen while dpsing.
    There are thousands of better ideas that would prevent skill spam: Cooldown,Decreased Damage on second cast,Increased Cost on second cast exc exc...

    Imo meta is fine like it is ,the game just needs fixes on major bugs (Battle Spirit first).

    I hope you can pass on a sentimeNt that several people have had here about Biting Jabs and Puncturing Sweep.

    Right now those abilities have lEad to Templars getting some of the highest DPS and that is fine, but the play style involved with those abilities isn't Really that interactive and it isn't really that fun.

    At the very basic level, using those abilities just requires using them all of the time and in succession. It is really just a single button press over and over.

    I think a solution to this issue would be if players regeneration stopped while they where using Puncturing Sweep and Biting Jabs. The reason that this would be a solution is because it would incentivize players to use Fully charged heavy attacks when they are ruNning low on resources. It would also encourage more team play because the users of Puncturing Sweep & Biting JaBs would have to rely more on the other players in the group as sources for stamina and magic.

    Anyhow, this is a pretty easy fix and I think it would be best for the future of the game. I hope to see this implemented. Thanks!

    I know it is tough to accept but instead of creating useless threads, you should accept new meta, change your way of thinking about fotm classes and adapt to new PvP balance, then you will understand how new tweaks will make combat for weakest pvp class(Templar) more fun and interactive.

    Honestly I'm fine if they cut all regen values for everyone, as something similar to softcaps or same. Since I never like the new meta update 6 brought where you can spam all the *** for hours without even going oom/oos.
    But,
    Making this just for one particular skill and class is obviously not the right way to do it.

    It seems you like it as well. But you still insist on saying jabs this, jabs that.. So this makes me think you have a butthurt about templars.

    its that dreaded double slandered. nerf our regen while blocking and its good for the game and learn to adapt, but nerf regen while using jabs or bubbles and everyone looses their minds.

    It really is a strange outcry that happened. Any ideas why people reacted the way they did to my proposed adjustment @ZOS_RichLambert ?

    I want to say that people are just scared of changing, but so many people brought up so many good concerns, and it is almost as if I was incorrect in my evaluation of Puncturing Sweep and Biting Jabs. I'm still hopeful though that we can get my adjustment tested. I think that testing will really encourage players to adapt and then they will realize that such an adjustment isn't so bad.

    While there at it can they nerf people attacking me so I can keep spamming jabs. Lol. It's the only close range ability that Templars have that actually does any decent damage. Might as well just stop night blades steal thing and mages power overloading. Atleast I got my lol fix when I woke up this morning

    This is a wonderful idea. A change like this would definitely make things more interesting for my Templar Tank. It would be like playing a double resource management mini game. It would be so much fun just staring at green and blue bars that I could completely ignore anything else going on around me that isn't fun. Drop Block/Heal/Raise Block/Heal/Drop Block Rinse Repeat, THE MOST FUN I'VE EVER HAD! It shouldn't count for just biting jabs since just mashing BOL all the time for heals is also boring, so it should affect magic regen while healing as well. This is a win win and falls well under the parameters of the Gospel of Eric Wrobel on "Philosophy of Fun" and could quickly become one of those near and dear to our hearts for no apparent reason changes implemented by Eric Wrobel and Friends. Thank you OP for coming up with this wonderful idea and hopefully ZOS will start listening to positive feedback like yours. :)

    Definitely Needs to be tested to understand the true and exhilarating value this change would bring to pass. Unimaginable copious amounts of fun over flowing everywhere. @ZOS_RichLambert can we get this brought to PTS since this change is so very similar to one that is already very near and dear to your heart. I mean this really needs to be tested. ;)

    Sure, that is a pretty good idea. The regen stat could probably be removed from the game.

    To make the templar more fun! This is an improvement since they're not fun at the moment too much blocking and one button skill mashing. This will revive the templar Eric Wrobel has assured us of this with his new gospel on fun.

    I don't block at all. I don't even use weapons and definitely. Don't button mash one skill and my Templar is a load of fun and very competitive in pvp.

    If it does change I'll adapt simple as that. The main reason I play Templar is that I like to solo things a lot and don't use potions. So being a Templar I can self heal and make up for lack of armour resistance. Jabs is my only form of heal on my offensive ability bar. Yeah I could swap in combat to heal but in a fast paced pvp battle it's not always viable. That's my main argument. I always throw my rune down if I'm expecting a long battle but again isn't always viable in fast paced battles.

    No, he's not really serious. He's mad about the changes to block and he's drawing a parallel with puncturing sweep/biting jabs. I just ran a vet pledge with him an hour ago and spoke with him in teamspeak. All Templars can stand-down now and cancel their launch sequences...
