We badly need vr16 versions of existing gear such as morag tong, light of cyrodiil etc. Now, I'm not sure if these are going to become the new Rewards of the Worthy, because I did see something about 11 sets being available in those rewards now? If so, /end thread.
However, if not, then AP has almost no purpose. Even now on live Cyrodiil feels dead. People don't want to PvP because there are no rewards. A ridiculously small % of people get any decent campaign rewards. (2%...LOL did zos forget people have jobs, lives, families? 20% would be more reasonable.) Which leaves the only reward for PvP for most people being AP. If no VR16 gear is available with AP, its worth is greatly decreased, and overnight the battle for cyrodiil becomes only about IC access, a very depressing state of affairs.
Please don't let this happen. We need VR16 versions of the lottery bags and the vendor AP gear. Tonight I logged in to Cyro, thought to myself, wtf is the point, and logged back out to play something else...
If anyone on PTS can comment on new rewards for the worthy that would be appreciated, thanks.

Trayyacakes✭✭✭While I will agree that AP needs a point, and there should be V16 sets to buy with AP and such. Cyrodiil is not loosing pop just because of the lack of rewards. Cyrodiil is loosing population because of poor performance and the one shot or zerg meta.Bjorn Uldnost -

This. I've had to switch campaigns from Azura's Star to Haderus simply because it is not possible for me to join Azura's during peak hours and ever have less than 500 ping anywhere on the map. The lag is destroying it. -

so it will take a while to get the gear you like
Another dude dropped a blue vr15 elf bane chest in a normal rewards bag, the one that you get during normal play. I dont know if it was bound when he got it, it was when he linked it to me.

✭We need to be able to use AP for things other than siege weapons and repair equipment. We need sets to spend these on. I have over a million AP and don't have the room for only buying siege equipment with that. All existing AP sets should be increased to max level whether that's V14 for them or higher.

The top stuff for leaderboards in PvP like Master items or Trials set drops is BoP. The other awards have always been BoE.GM - Malazan

I'm really hoping that the new rewards for the worthy and end of campaign rewards contain the vr16 sets that currently cost AP, but no-one seems to know which sets are now included in these.
If they do then that's actually a really positive move for cyro as those are granted for playing the objectives (although I'm not 100% sure on the rewards for the worthy, are those granted for attack/defence, or for AP?)

For the very small minority the potential of good stuff (top 2%?) For everyone else it means an evening or two to get top tier rewards then IC. -

Its not that bad, sometimes when you enter a campaign and get a single AP you are in the top thousand already. It takes little work to get into the top 50.
By making it that much easier, you take away from the people who PvP every night, day in day out. These people already play with the lack of PvE goodies (generally) and have fewer CP that those who spend the time in PvE.

I agree that AP still needs to mean something; if they are adamant that TV Stones will be the only way to "buy" V16 gear, can we think of anything else that AP could be good for instead? Yup... it is cheaper (sadly) to just die on a PvE mob and release.... (unless you are carrying a huge sh*tload of TV stones) -

Add more objectives into the map like the broken mile gates and bridges (faction specific) that can we claim and upgrade too, so we got better border safety of our home keeps.
Or add controlling over the cities around the map with upgrading too, so that they give resources to the front line (guards, stronger walls/gates and so on).Guild

Having extra keep upgrades as an AP sink would be a great addition I think. Assuming upgrades would be lost if the keep was captured by an enemy, this would be a constant and persistent sink of AP that you wouldn't "outlevel" or "complete" like you do with gear sets bought with AP.It will be great to have more options with AP like upgrades for guild keeps/resources to make them stronger in defense or add more/harder guards.

✭It's very simple, they don't want those people with millions of AP stored up to have an immediate advantage because they can buy all the best gear as soon as they log on after Update 7 hits. You will get the new higher leveled versions of pre-existing sets from Rewards of the Worthy.
