Be honest, how long did it take to get VR 14?

I'm a true grinder, I'll play till the sun comes up and then rinse and repeat. ESO is pushing my grind skills for sure, lol.

Literally in every MMO I've played, FF ARR, WoW, SWG, Guild Wars, I can get to the top level/gear set in usually two months.

ESO? Nope! Granted I've been heavily distracted by the uber addicting PVP. Mostly have been focusing on PVP playing, which is definitely a reason for my delay to VR14.

But gee wizz, there is so much to do in this game and so many quests and areas to discover and complete it's crazy lol.

I'm almost done with Aldamacs Journal, I have to finish a few quests and I'm done.
Two questions.
What do I do after the journal is done? And how long did it take you all to get VR 14?

Thanks.

Um ... been playing about a year and a half. My highest character is v2
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Currently it takes you about 6 hours to get a VR level by playing normally and questing i think.

If you goto certain places in the last two zones on Cadwells gold you can knock that down to a VR level every 1.5 to 2 hours without any special potions or anything.

You can do the whole VR grind from 1-14 this way if you like and it'll take you a week tops.

Normal levelling pre-vet is even easier. I started a new char yesterday and they already level 25 after a single afternoon!

I got to v12 in 30 hours. After that I've spent 3 weeks to level up from v12 to v14.

How did you get to level 25 in a single afternoon with your new character? I'm thinking about re-rolling to Templar mage (healer) but I don't want to start from scratch lol

O.O What? I have only played my main for 52 days and 22hours and she has been Vr14 for months. What exactly are you doing during all those hours? I mean I didn't even grind I just did all the content. Quests, Delves, Public Dungeons, Group Dungeons, World Bosses and that was including craglorn and cyrodiil and it still didn't take me more than a month of IRL time to do it.

I have 35 days of playtime and I have been v14 for a few months now... It took about 12 days of playing for me to reach v14, so you must be doing something really wrong xD

It took me roughly 2 months to get v12(max at the time). That was without any grinding and enjoying the game. Now, i can level a character to vet 14 in a little over 24 hours.

I was not counting as my goal was to complete the game not get to VR14.
VR10 was the level cap when I started.
I assume that was 1-50 for first Alliance and 5 VR levels for each of the other two.
Then Lower Graglorn took cap to VR12 and upper to VR14.
I guess it took me about a three or four weeks to get to VR10.
I grinded in Craglorn to VR12 as I'm generally a solo player and Craglorn quests require groups.
Got to VR14 in PvP only and to odd Undaunted pledge.

Got to V14 purely by questing and completeing all maps to 100% This includes Cadwell Gold/Silver and now I'm going into Craglorn for Champion Points. My total playtime thus far on this V14 character is 14 days, 2 hours, 55 minutes and 29 seconds. In reality I want to say I accomplished this inside a month.

I deliberately spent a long time getting to V14 ... did the V11-14 as a final grind (I am a PC transfer, transferred at V9)

Not entirely happy there is nothing left for me to do except my writs and crafting.

Grouping is appalling on PS4, Craglorn questing is not soloable. I suck at PvP.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Such things as: Read lore books, smell (and pick) flowers, talk (and listen) to all NPCs, never grind, enjoy quests in a relaxed fashion, almost always played in a group, fish, fight in the alliance war (lots and lots of time here), and generally faff about otherwise.

I just played the game my way, in the manner I expect development intended us to play, and that's how it turned out. I was never in a rush to level, though my character was always over-leveled in the 1-50 content (almost impossible not to be if you like to complete/explore everything in a zone before moving on). I still haven't completed Cadwell's Silver, nor obviously touched Cadwell's Gold because I didn't overly enjoy the Dominion area (silver), so it was Craglorn for me from about rank 3. I think my character knows every grain of sand and rock in that place by now.

I can safely say I've gotten my money's worth and enjoyed my character's 'journey', and I wouldn't want it any other way. 65 days, is a lot of time spent on a computer though over 18 months or so. So it's best not to look at /played too often anymore.

Actually, I would say the opposite: You're doing something very wrong in bypassing so much of the game's content just to rush to an imaginary destination. But considering the only wrong way to play is at the enjoyment of someone else, I won't

The character I rolled at PC release week is half way through VR13, the character I rolled a couple of weeks later got to VR14 about a month ago. I have two others who are VR8 and VR10.

I have just started taking my mules out to gather skyshards. It's kind of cool riding around with an L6 character on a horse with speed of 60. I also need to remember that a L6 can not take on L40 mobs, even on a good day.

30 days ago did I start the game. My main is now VR 12. I still have two Cadwell Gold zones to finish. Just started the Molag Tar whatsitsname.

I play lately just enough for a couple quests, and to use the CP enlightenment boost. That helps me not to burn out. And in the meanwhile I play an alt. For lore, laugh, fishing.
