Honestly, the only problem I've got is the new stuff coming out seems to have higher res textures than the content already in the game. Now, that could just be a byproduct of the screenshots they're using. But, stick those costumes next to Emmeric, and it wouldn't look out of place for style, just that the dress would be much higher fidelity.

Noble Dress is on my shopping list... most definitely. The Wedding Suit bugs me and when I see the Noble Suit I think of either an old Doctor Who or a newer Sherlock Holmes.

In any case, I definitely do not agree with Morna about the Noble Dress. It is not wrong for ESO.

Yeah, though that's not exactly what I'm talking about. There's already a noticeable fidelity jump between, say, the Breton armor and the new Redguard and Orcish textures. The new stuff (like these outfits) coming from the crownstore that doesn't reuse old assets (like most of the costumes, including the ashlander pack) are noticeably sharper. I suspect the issue will only get worse as time goes by.

Besides that, if your GPU has more than just the 2 VRAM, you could give WQHD a shot. The performance only suffers if your VRAM is full.

Ya that's a typical thing in many games, new stuff tends to have more details. We can see this on our mounts as well. I must admit that I don't exactly know why, if its just to sell more or if there is an actual technical reason for it.

Developer proficiency with the tools they're using improves over time. Also, it's possible hardware is upgraded during production and after release. Well, probable. So the quality goes up from working with better systems.

The point is that this is a different game, different art style and different era of Tamriel history. These outfits just don't fit with the art style of this game. To me, they will always look glaringly out of place.

Because people have been asking for them, and they're willing to pay for them. We can have both and many of their previous costume sets have been more consistent with ESO.

If you're worried about your immersion, I don't think a fancy outfit "from a far land unlike any we've seen before" is too much of a stretch.

Of course it's a different art style. Oblivion is from 2006 (Morrowind 2002 and Skyrim 2011), so of course both graphics and design has evolved/changed since then.

I just think that we should be positive about the fact that they have decided to add proper clothing costumes to the game (for those of us who have been wishing for such things). And if you don't like the selection now, hopefully they will make something that you prefer in the future

I think they look pretty good, going to be hard to decide what to spend the crowns on the costumes or the IC update.

I think they should do a co-op ad campaign with Victoria's Secret and get some good under-garment costumes going.

No, they don't look awful. In fact, they're rather pretty. But they look like they were made for another game entirely, not ESO. They do not at all fit the artistic aesthetic of this game. They look more like they came from, respectively (top to bottom)Noble Dress: 1500's England, Noble Suit: 1700's England, Wedding Suit: 1800's England. Of course the currently available wedding and evening gown (which are exactly the same dress recolored) look like bad Ren Faire wear.

Now, whoever is designing the armor costumes is awesome. But whoever they put in charge of designing CLOTHING needs to be flogged. Has this person EVER played the game????

All of the clothing costumes appear to be very Breton/Western European inspired. They dont stand out to me as being out of place. In fact they seem very much what you would find in Breton High Society.

Granted most of Bretons cultural inspirations appear to come from the height of the Medieval times and the Noble Suit/Wedding Suit appears to draw inspiration from a time period a few hundred years later. Theres nothing spectacularly out of place because of that. Imperials, their Armor, clothing, architecture, social structure is all based around Romans in a much earlier time period from the Medieval times..Or the Nords who are based on Vikings who were at their height much later in the Medieval Times then what you see in Breton influences. Fact is the entire game is our entire known history and cultures smashed into one continent.

Why arent you complaining about the very large out of place ships that are inspired by Sailing Ships of the 1600-1800s? If we're to believe that the Breton society and every other society in Tamriel is perpetually stuck in a specific time period then the Bretons should be sailing in Cogs and not something that resembles a Brig.

I like them, just not enough to pay real money for them without the ability to customize them to me specifically. I want the smallest possible % of a chance of standing next to someone who is wearing the exact same thing as me.

The female noble dress totally fits this game, so do the neadic outfits, I do have to admit the Noble suit looks like it could be from fable 2 and the vampire suit/aka male wedding attire looks like it came from fable 3, and reminds me of jasper who is in fact also Cadwell in this game. same voice actor by the way.
