Here is what I want and I'd be very happy... the ability to "hide" EVERY piece of armor like we can with helmets. Why? First, IMO, the huge, boxy shoulders for armor are HORRIBLE- so much so that the only shoulders I can run are Light armor Altmer or Ancient Elf because they aren't so massive and are actually quite stylish. Also, how about being able to go shirtless without having to ditch your chest armor to do so. Don't want your hands covered, or that obtrusiveness belt, or perhaps you want to go completely barefoot. It seems to me if they can have the ability to 'hide Helmet', then it would be pretty easy for them to add this option for all pieces of gear.

The guy breeding all these cat mounts needs to be investigated. He's running a cat mount breeding mill. Poor homeless, less desirable cat mounts are roaming hungry and scared. You can help by donating 3000 crowns to Zos for a limited time and adopt a stray cat mount. Have your cat mount spayed or neutered.

    Cat mount.

I am curious as to what it looks like on me..the evening/wedding dress doubles my chest size and overall has the effect of making my toons fat. I'm not fat shaming! But I am female, and the last thing I want is made to appear larger than I am.

So if this dress doesn't do that, and they ever figure out how to make them dyeable, I may buy it in the future. But inability to customize is the biggest turn off of their offerings.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I think they should make every normal style of armor have a costume option as well. Sometimes you get a dropped set but the style sucks or looks just plain ugly. Slap on your favorite motif and Presto! you look great while still having your fav set bonuses.

That or enable some kind of motif changing system just like the Imperial Edition players can change their crafted items to Imperial at will. Sent this idea to devs months ago... No movement yet... just like SHIELD DYES! @ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_PaulSage @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_JasonLeavey @ZOS_MattFiror

That is the point I'm making, WHY should anyone have to suffer loss of protection simply because they don't want a piece of armor to show? This is a GAME, not reality... an aesthetics is part of that. In reality we don't run around looking at ourselves for hours each day, but in a GAME we do- unless you play 1st person view which would be suicide. So in a GAME, I want to have my character appearing the way I envision the character concept, and right now only being able to 'hide helmet' takes a lot off the table for character appearance options.

This is the case in all store-based games. It's all aesthetics with little to nothing having to do with the lore or timeline. In some MMOs you can get futuristic suits that are not even present in modern day and those games are set in medieval timeline...

The armor they manage to do a great job on. It all looks like it belongs in the world. I just don't understand why we don't have CULTURAL clothing. I want some awesome Redguard layered pieces with veils and headwraps. I want some bada$$ Nord leathers and furs. I want some elegant Khajiit silks WITH SLEEVES!

The whole "vibe" of ESO is medieval-fantasy. I want Breton cultural clothing like THIS:
    f2Zw9fF.jpg
BUT with much better fabric textures and maybe some fancy embroidery. The patterns that appear on MUCH of the khajiit light robes would be PERFECT. Even the new Redguard light robe TEXTURES would be welcome. C'mon ZoS, enough of the Ren Faire! I wanna be in Tamriel!

Yup. More france' ish then nordic :o

There is more to Tamriel than Skyrim.

I think the new costumes are prettier than the evening gown and wedding dress but I would like something closer to what is already in game. I would also like something for women similar to the mage robes in Skyrim. I don't like the way long skirts move on the characters in game and have always preferred to go adventuring in pants and boots but would love something a little nicer than any of the currently available pants and shirts. Plus, of course, they are clothes and displace my armor so they need to be costumes.
Scura di Notte - Altmer Nightblade (gear)
Lalin del Sombra - Bosmer Sorcerer (alchemy/enchanting)
    Angevin Sarkany - Bosmer Dragonknight
Alkemene Velothi - Dunmer Warden (Morrowind)
Sanna yos'Phalen - Altmer Sorcerer (provisioning)
    Cosima di Mattina -Altmer Sorcerer
    Naria Andrano - Dunmer Templar
Luca della Serata - Redguard Templar

Its just odd that many of these are added as costumes rather than craftables. The Nedic Armors could have been added as a motif, and while I understand that the clothing has a reason to be a "costume," why cant any of these be obtained as tangible items from wardrobes, and why wouldn't they just add the "noble clothes" already in the game?

Also the gentlemen's costumes look more "Shivering Isles" than "Tamriel"...

This is a fictional game not set in the real world timeline. The aesthetics chosen are probably for their recognizability to the general public.

    Which is a poor choice.

This is an ES game and that should be a point of pride to the dev's not something to ignore/compensate for.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Agreed; with ten playable races(and numerous nonplayable) with distinct cultures, its an opportunity to have at least 10 different wedding/formal/noble costumes, one representing each race.

Um, no they're not. They're Sheogorath's realm in Oblivion. Oblivion is separate from Mundus, and Tamriel is a continent on Mundus. Saying that the Shivering Isles are part of Tamriel would be a lot like saying Olympus Mons (a mountain on Mars, for any who don't know) is part of Europe.

Honestly, the only problem I've got is the new stuff coming out seems to have higher res textures than the content already in the game. Now, that could just be a byproduct of the screenshots they're using. But, stick those costumes next to Emmeric, and it wouldn't look out of place for style, just that the dress would be much higher fidelity.
