If lowered health pools with 1.6 is the problem, why not fix that rather than nerfing damage 50%?

Maybe I'm being too simple here, but it is now clear that ZOS made a big mistake when they decided to lower characters' health pools relative to everything else when they made the switch to update 1.6. This is one of the reasons (not the only one of course, but one of the big reasons) why the Time To Kill dropped so dramatically. So wouldn't it make sense, if you're trying to fix the problem, to start by fixing the part that you broke in the last patch and that was working fine before? Why not just raise health pools by 20 or 30% so that they approximate the levels they were at before 1.6 changed them?

Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:

No, no, that would make too much sense.

We will just adjust everything by percentages and apply it in the most heavy-handed way possible, while ignoring the advice of long-time testers and the general population of players.

That would cause universe collapse if they admit they regret making stupid changes and roll it back to what it was before. So better to cover it with an another stupid fix and pretend everything is ok.

I think this would have been a much better solution than the damage decrease. Didn't we have a bunch of threads about the low TTK and asking for the HP scaling in 1.6 to be consistent with Mag and Stam scaling?

Yes the reverting to pre 1.6, 1.5x health modifiers would have been a simple first step to help with TTK being too fast in 1.6.

Yep, we had quite a few of them. ZOS thought they had a better solution though. I think it is time to just admit the mistake.

The health scaling from 1.5:1 to 1.1:1 in patch 1.6 was one of the biggest reasons why TTK dropped so quickly. It should have been a no brainier to revert before trying something drastic like a 50% dmg nerf across the board.

I still don't under stand why ZoS even added another 0 to the stats to begin with thousand was perfect but ten-thousand just makes things complicated.

I think many of us feel that it isn't working out. Vet PvP has become even more of a gankfest than it ever was, with the Time To Kill so short now that you are often killed with a second with little to no chance to react. 1.6 fixed some things but broke others... so why not fix the things that are obviously broken before trying new ones?

We all asked for this! We knew this would happen yet we still asked for it, now look at all these great blanket changes being done.

Undeath will probably never work, when they fix Dual Wield Mace pen bug Nirnhoned will become bugged, again.

That would be a lot less complicated. The only side effect is that it would buff health based shields, but those are not really a part of the current problem, and the shield nerf is still there.
