IMO, it should be hazardous to release your inner psychopathic tendencies, even in a game like ESO.

LMAO! If you think this game is like real life, with real life consequences you probably shouldn't be playing it. If games were like real life you would be punished hard and not to mention have to live with the guilt of killing someone. This is not a person this is a robot. Their is a difference. Robots do not have souls and are not living creatures. If you think you are killing actaul people in the game you should probably not be playing it as that is psychopathic. To willing kill what you think is real people. Thats like saying killing people in call of duty makes you a psychopath or killing people in grand theft auto makes you a psychopath....

"LMAO" do people still type this way? anyway, why are you asking for a nerf when you and i mean you have not even had a high bounty by your own admission. Your taking the word of your careless friends it sounds like, with no first hand experience on the system.

I don't have issues with the current Justice system. But to be honest, the only games where justice systems are truly fun and engaging for me are ones with some form of open pvp (not saying it should be added to eso). In ArcheAge for example, you have to stand a trial with jury being actual players. I swear that was the most entertaining part of the game, at least while trial chat was visible to entire server, because that almost always resulted in some hilarious roleplaying. Also, prison escape mechanics. This one is done pretty well in Age of Wushu (Wulin). I believe some sort of prison system could make it into eso, so that players would have an option to either pay the bounty or sit a couple hours in prison.

Friend plays on my playstation at my house in my room, so I have seen it happening. I play the game I know how easy it is to get bounties, if I wanted I could easiley get a high bounty. I want the justice system nerfed because people cant commit crimes without having too strict consequences. This is a game not real life, their shouldn't be consequences. Some people want to go on a crime spree for the lolz XP but it doesn't work and they have to delete their character because of too high bounty. Its also way too easy to rack up a bounty. The guards are way too op as well. They have infinite health, a chain, and are way too hard to escape. Thats why I want a nerf.

That does sound like it would bring lots of LOLZ and fun! That's all im really wanting is a fun justice system like skyrim. I can see so many sineriuos where I would LOL with that. That sounds fun! I think guards should be replaced with your suggestion.. All im complaining about the justice system because its boring and not fun

Spend 1 skill point in " rapid movement" , takes care of the guard situation right there. No consequences ? what sense does that make. Then all anyone would ever do is steal, steal and steal for infinite money. Could the system be tweaked, absolutely...but what your asking for is a broken system.

Also you're comparing other games to the Elder Scrolls series which has always followed a sort of realistic theme in the first place. Shame on you...
hahahahah elder scrolls, "realistic" ? LMAO!! I guess il go sleep off my tax payments XD or maybe just pay half of what the item is worth to steal LOLOLOLOL. Please don't make that joke, games are the last thing to realistic. Yeah sure the npc saying the same line over in over are the most real.... XP also my suggestion for the justice system was the way skyrim did it. Which is a past elder scrolls game. But really XD taking games seriously?? this forum is way too serious. Thinking NCPs are actaul people hahahahahah. No wonder this game was made so hard compared to skyrim. The mmo rpg people are way too serious. You shouldn't take games seriously or expect them to be realistic, they are not they are games. They are mental people who have taken games seriously and done crazy things because they think they can get away with crimes because they do it in games. Don't think of games as real life big differences. Games don't have any real life concequences and don't effect anyone but you. Real life is differnt then games. What you do in real life does effect others and has concequences. Dont get them confuesed

I pity you. You obviously have no grasp on the concept of gaming. All you see of this game is circuits and wires that make things magically appear on a screen whereas I see a world we can immerse into that has many aspects of real life and is a hell of a lot more interesting. I for one have always thought it'd be neat to live in a medieval world and sure in most game death is not of much consequence (hell we're soulless in this game) whereas in real life we get no "extra continues" but that doesn't mean it doesn't have realistic qualities. If you want to play a game where you're just supposed to kill everything in sight then feel free to grab an old sk00l hack n slash or shoot em up and have fun. This is an MMORPG though of course it's gonna have its own rules and stuff that keep you from just killing everything. I mean really Skyrim of all games was the biggest on consequences of actions in this franchise since once slain NPCs NEVER came back without using mods or reloading a previous save.

As for taking games seriously it all depends really on the motive the player has but for the most part no I play games for fun which means I don't take them seriously. Your perspective on these games though is pitiful and it honestly makes me wonder why you're here period.
    their shouldn't be consequences.

This right here indicates we no longer have anything to discuss. ALL games even sports and board games and such have a consequence of some sort because otherwise you could never lose. Get some common sense man.

I got myself a bounty over 600K and the game is far from unplayable. If anything it made it more interesting. I was forced to do missions that I had to scout out first to make sure no guards would ruin day. I was also forced to run with no gold, just in case I missed a guard. Took over 2 months to clear, but was like I said a lot of fun.

Criminals defanilty don't have it too easy that's certain. Lots of people go into the game thinking its like skyrim and get destroy by the justice system. Guards have infinite health and a chain that you cant escape. Bounty cant be paid by sleeping, far too OP justice system..

    Like Skyrim you say?

    http://www.dorkly.com/post/50934/skyrim-deja-vu

Thing about Skyrim, it was your own personal play ground. No one cared if you murder everyone, and you could just reload a save. That's not an option in a persistent world shared with other players.

Not entirely but for the most part it does grow from it. Long as you kill or help kill players or take or help take resources and/or keeps you will gain alliance war ranks which grants experience to your Alliance War Skill Trees. Rapid Maneuver requires Lv2 Assault.

Really, it needs a NERF, no actually this one thinks it needs to be harder,
tricks to get away from a guard,

    1. Put Retreating Manuever on your bar. cast this to get away from guards, no more chain pulls.
    2. Buy or make some invisibility potions, have them slotted when stealing or killing to get away from guards or to reset them while inside buildings so you can escape.
    3. get a three piece nightshade set, wear it while stealing, it decreases sneak cost and can give you up to 2 meters buffer space.
    4. If your gonna kill someone, buff yourself with a major brutality potion or Rally so you can attempt to one-shot your victim, then kill your victim, if you can do it via stealth or if a Nightblade use Shadow Cloak.

Spend 1 skill point in " rapid movement" , takes care of the guard situation right there. No consequences ? what sense does that make. Then all anyone would ever do is steal, steal and steal for infinite money. Could the system be tweaked, absolutely...but what your asking for is a broken system.

Under what would "rapid movement" be found? It's something I'd like to use.

"Assault" skill line , first skill available

    Thanks. Will check it out.

Rapid Maneuver is an awesome skill by the way definitely worth unlocking and using despite complaints about using it on others and making them draw their weapons or ruining their mojo lol

Yeah, had it cast on me a few times, but never knew what the heck it was.

Me either until I did some research. Then I went to Cyrodiil, did some PvP, and had it unlocked not long upon my first visit to Cyrodiil.

Oh and I should also mention you can use it while riding a mount without dismounting.

Does the skill line require PvP?

No, just walking into Cyrodill once gives you access to the skill. In cyrodill its almost a must even if you just want to PVE inside there. POI are far more spread out so the rapid movement helps with travel time. Plus its a good way to not get chased down by ppl inside pvp if your just trying to pve.

I was going to write an actual response to this, but then I realized that it would be on deaf ears.

just very young and angry there are fake consequences to fake crimes.

edit* so it doesn't break any rules.

Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Also, I pretty sure super mario is more realistic than this game XD

Your skewed perspective of realism aside Super Mario still had consequences. I could go on but hopefully you get it by now. Keyword being "hopefully".

Not entirely but for the most part it does grow from it. Long as you kill or help kill players or take or help take resources and/or keeps you will gain alliance war ranks which grants experience to your Alliance War Skill Trees. Rapid Maneuver requires Lv2 Assault.

Well, im not so dumb as to refuse to admit to a mistake so I will say, yes I was wrong their should be consequences but I think the game has way too much.

If guards were a pushover and bounties were easy to lose then there would be chaos in every town...I think it's fine as is.

    Nerf The Nerf Threads!

New Rule: Make a Nerf thread...have account nerfed for 72 hours >:)

    OP or OP's friend...don't steal
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

sir it would be controlled chaos. Very fun! XD I still think guards should be replaced with players though, that would be so fun! I could live with a justice system like that. Current justice system = boring. Its one sided, guards automatically win everytime. However players would be fun and challenging in a good way, not one sided..

This is what should happen to the justice system.......nerf-guns-8-470-0409.jpg
