PvE Tanking Future. - DO NOT GET RID OF STAM REGEN WHILE BLOCKING IN PVE

No stamina regen while blocking will put a stop to the perma blockers. This is more directed toward PvP, but unfortunately will affect PvE as well.
How exactly do you expect people to tank in PvE now?

Blocking in PvE END GAME content is a must, there is a high use of stamina regen for tanking in PvE you can't just take that away, you will completely destroy the PvE content and cause a horrible uproar with this decision, I really hope ZOS that you are only having this affect PvP only as an effect in Cyrodill because there is no way a tank can take damage in Trials and plan certain bosses they will get one shot, there is no way you can tank in VDSA with everything eating your stamina and having no regen.

I hope those at ZOS have actually played trials before to understand this.

    Then you pretty much die in Trials / VDSA, anything that power attacks you is a one shot. Have you not done any end game pve?

    It's not skill to tank, you will actually not be able to do it. Blocking takes way too much stamina. Even with block reduction in Champion System.
    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Please tell me you thought about this right and you guys have tanked end game content before? This decision will ruin PvE

    Well, that was needed, currently tanks press block and suck all magicka and stamina in PVP from 10+ guys. Thats why DKs hated NBs fear so much and wanted it to be nerfed to make them even more powerful. Truth is that fear is only way to kill good tanks. Justice!

    The people saying "need more skill" I understand both sides of this. It can be fun to actively block at proper times but honestly from an endgame PvE standpoint this will merely turn most of the tanks off which doesn't help with the fact that MMOs tend to have a shortage of tanks to begin with.

    PS: I'll still tank on my stamina dk personally but I know quite a few tanks that have already decided to call it quits.

If 10+ guys can't take down a single tank, they're doing something wrong or they are way underclassed with respect to that tank. Please don't compare an Emperor Tank decked out in Gold Set Gear designed for tanking in Pvp with the entire populace.

    Well, ideally we'd all spend 3,000 crowns apiece for Frost Mares, line them up as a barrier, and let them do the tanking while we pick and choose our shots.

    But then we'd have to buy new Frost Mares for every raid. Unless I can trade a few dozen stacks of Frost Glue and Frost Cheval for a new Mare.

    Can you please, take the PvP talk out of here, it's about PvE end game content which will be made unable to play, you will get one shot if you do not block or have stamina to block. Nothing will be able to work around this, you will die in Sanctum, HRC, AA and VDSA on the first bosses.

    For endgame pve this is gonna suck. Tanking AA axes for example your taunting 3 sometimes 4 axes at a time it's very crucial that you can't run out of stam or drop block or you'll get one shot. Blocking cost a lot even with reduced block cost . This is really gonna turn tanks away from endgame pve. There has to be another way . Say for example reduce the amount of damage you do while blocking or if you wear a 5 piece heavy armor set you negate the no regeneration debuff.

    You will have to anticipate the damage just like templars with their BOL will anticipate you will get splattered all over the place.. Its all about anticipation and stuff.
    Anyway most of was actually fun and well thought out in this game was destroyed back in 1.6 .They can't really ruin this much further.

    I'm in the process of leveling my first dedicated tank having said that i have tanked a few trials by re gearing my stamina dps char and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

    Man, PvP based changes that fundamentally alter PvE kill me.

    Umm guys just reroll Nightblade tanks with Siphoning Attacks > lay down caltrops > Stand and twisted path (weak damage, no heal but it hit more enemies so.. Yea) I have a 7 heavy magic tank with 25k~ magic and 10~ stamina with 700~ regen that perma blocks with no problems at all and off hand resto for self heals like really.

    Nightblade is the "new" tanking class you can't match respire return like Siphoning Attacks it even makes Path of Darkness useful and that's no short order

    This "no-stam-regen" while blocking idea is the worst possible idea I've ever heard of for this game. Tell me one person who plays this game who's actually asked for this and how would it improve the game?!?

    There are many instances in PVE where the tank is not just on ONE completely solitary boss with no adds, holding block, standing still. There are MANY instances where the tank is on ONE or TWO bosses, and simultaneously gathering, taunting and tanking ALL the adds that spawn. In stage 7 of VDSA, while everyone is off killing sacrifices, I'm taunting and tanking and holding like 8 adds. Plus there are 2 bosses for that stage, and adds that spawn on top of them. Again, not just ONE boss and nothing else to worry about. Plus, remember the boss and the 3 and 4 Centurions in VDSA stage 8.

    Don't see how I'm supposed to let go of block to regen my stam in any of these situations. This idea is just crazy, complete craziness. THIS IDEA MUST BE STOPPED BEFORE IT'S EVERY IMPLEMENTED! Please take a poll of the community on this before implementing it. Again, how does this improve people's enjoyment of the game?

    How about no-stam-regen while blocking ONLY in PVP. I'd like to see Eric Wrobel tank endgame PVE with no stam regen while blocking. Completely preposterous. This is too drastic a change for PVE right now. How about we try it out at just 50%-stam-regen while blocking to start out with and we'll let you know how that goes? Never thought I'd hear news like this today. Crazy.

    Come to think of it probably content will be nerfed a bit and it will be even more about dps. Vet dungeons can be done pretty fast without a tank and 4 DPS/heals. It is actually easier if the dps is competent you can skip most mechanics by just melting the boss.. I had pugs where I didn't notice the boss til after it was dead already. With some more cp and maybe some more dps buffs maybe everything can be done with just dps. We will all equip Shooting star and wreak everything with moar deeps.
