For example the Wood Elves passive is "Increases stamina regeneration while in combat" while the Redguards passive reads "Increases stamina recovery while in combat".
I'm guessing that Stamina Recovery is the amount of Stamina restored to you via Potions or Skills while in combat. And Stamina Regeneration is the amount of Stamina restored naturally?
One should not read the tooltips. In order to get what the mechanics of the game are I recommend the ancient art of haruspicy mixed with a fair dose o heavy experimentation, addon use testing and science. This will allow you to get a basic idea of how things work and is very immersive.

But I have a similar question myself: is there a difference between spell penetration and spell damage? English is not my language, so sometimes I'm not 100% sure when there's a small difference between things/words.

On the PS4 so unfortunately no real numbers to test

Spell Damage is the raw damage multiplier of your spells. Increasing this value (Along with maximum magicka) will increase the tooltip damage of spells.
Spell Penetration on the other hand is the amount spell resistance on the target that you ignore. Example, if you have 20k Spell Penetration and your target has 20k Spell Resistance, you effectively negate his entire spell resist, as 20k - 20k = 0.slipHAZARD wrote: »One should not read the tooltips. Don't worry. I'm sure we PC players will do a ton of testing. You guys will just be behind the meta. That's all.
