- Those willing to pay whatever price was needed to buy all of the fragments ASAP so they could be first to market with the drink and make money gouging those who would pay any price to get a head start by using the XP pots early.
- Those who are dedicated crafters for their guilds, who had an entire guild worth of people doing writs and funneling fragments to them so that they would then be able to keep the guild supplied with XP pots.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was overlap between those groups too.

I suspect people started saving up writ reward boxes the day we found out about Psijic Ambrosia and mass-opened them when it was introduced. They didn't do it alone, I can guarantee you that. Full 500 member hard corp guilds would have been hard pressed getting one crafter these writs in a single day and that is assuming that all had level 50 crafters which I highly doubt.
I think the more reasonable and logical answer is that a lot of the day one fragments came from the players who "will never reveal themselves".
edit: p.s. Still no writs here, 3 level 50 provisioning crafters. That is 15 writs but one of my crafters was low level on the first day.
Am I doing something wrong? I have all 8 players maxed at 50 provisioning... each also is maxed of 4/4 quality and 6/6 improvement. i have done the provisioning writ every day since patch, so 48 writs... NOT ONE RECIPE PIECE!

Wow, that must be depressing. I thought I was doing bad at 0/18 as of this morning.

Oh, and for the record, once I've got the entire recipe, I'll happily craft the drink for you @Woolenthreads or any other guildies who want it, as long as you provide the mats for it. But please don't send me any mats for that until I do have the entire recipeWoolenthreads wrote: »
T only qualify for one with Recipe Improvement at 6 while all of my characters are spread across the levels. The only one I might bring up is doing R.I.5 Writs, so I feel like you, MB, jealous of Ur-quan, in this instance. Considering how good RNG is to me in general though I just shrug my shoulders . Hail LWH!
#edit: Oops forgot 3 R.I.6 Writs finished with no result.
Also you might want to consider averaging 3 different characters who have gotten ten fragments each for your median value.

Well so it seems that unless you have 8 vr toons, with 50 in provisioning at 6/6 and 4/4 then you will not likely get a full set for a long time. Even with 8 vr toons like above you might be talking only a less than 5% chance. At 5% it would take 8 toon 3 days per frag ...if only one toon then 20 days per frag. If a brand new player on PC you don't have the money to buy these and you just get further and further behind. While others get the exp and the profits from selling....
I've not done the math but just eyeballing 1/20 seems a ballpark guess.
All 3 of the fragments I got were on characters who aren't capable of crafting blue or purple recipes. The only character I have who has put any points into that is my main provisioner, and she hasn't received a fragment yet.
