Do they have the whole of Tamriel and Oblivion in there or something??

There have been rumors of a 15gb day one patch, but not sure if that is true or not. I think the reason they are saying 75gb is to have room for future content/patches etc.

With this file size and not receiving a Download code until the night before launch.... Just imagine all of the non transferring downloads (new players) that will be hitting the servers as we do the same.
Downloading..... 0% 1k/s

Haha nice meme.
Ya know...the more I read ppl's comments in this forum and Xbox I'm starting to sense that ZOS is going to capatalize on this. Ppl will spend $60 in the console store or retail after having paid $20 just to have the files downloaded.
A similar situation occurred when the first tiger mount was announced and ppl went out to buy multiple game cards just to get it not realizing the only got a mount and 200 crowns per card instead of 3000 crowns.
Or the limited offer items in the crown store where ppl have active ESO plus and buy another chunk of crowns
It's crazy...then let's say those who buy the game just to pre-download (tho you could get 500 crowns) may experience less than ideal server experience as day 1 of any MMO game is less than ideal as far as server stability
Then I'm almost sure that no later than July we will see those exp potions...more crowns spent
Buyers habits and marketing...interesting customer reactions.
ZOS isn't hurting for money at all

Do you think the people burned by the delay in pre download and those burned by the transfer will fork up additional money that easily? I'm not saying they wouldn't but it doesn't make sense to me. Easiest way to voice your concern is through money.
Wonder if they also got in gamecards, no not going to buy now that is on shelf to see what happens 2 weeks after launch of consoles.

It's not a thought. Some have posted as such.
It's what I find interesting
I'm 100% sure that the code has nothing to do with the transfer but linking the account does.traigusb14_ESO2 wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »With this file size and not receiving a Download code until the night before launch.... I'm trying to find someone I know locally that isn't transferring.. then I can copy the game onto my portable HDD and just patch it.
I'll probably hedge my bets and DL it on the 8th just in case the code turns out to be important too though.
Lol day 1 fun, like over stressed servers, and launch bugs?Well some people have really slow internet connections and if buying it and then selling their codes for $50.00, that is reasonable to some. I have a few friends that will take up to 2-3 days for it to download completely and those same people are transfers and wanted to play at launch and now that won't happen.
So I don't think it is unreasonable thing to do. It just depends on how hard up some are going to be to play on day 1. Yes, it will put more money into the coffers of a company like ZOS that seem to back-peddle on things left and right and a company that refuses to answer questions from people that pay them monthly for a game, but some people will still do it because they want to be part of the fun that comes with being there on Day 1.
I know I want to be there day 1, I did my transfer and paid my fee under the belief that I read in the emails they sent me that I would be able to pre-download and be ready for launch, which now is not the case.
