you ideas the same everybody's demanding that they make all these fixes and that new content and then everybody wants for special events and special recognition for an anniversary and although they have not been mentioned in this thread there have been multiple threads made white people what they celebrated in game as well.
bottom line I think an anniversary present should be at the bottom of the list of priorities at this particular moment.
Who asked for a present? Also considering they have stated we get no new content until the console launch "settles down". So looking at fall.
bottom line is you want to do something for the. anniversary call it the present don't call it a present call it a special pat on the back for being such a loyal fan either way its a waste of time and resources because if they get sidetracked too much new content won't come until way after fall.
When I say do something maybe they could like post something on the forum. I mean you act like flipping a switch giving everyone a 10% xp bonus for the day would take some team of developers years to do. Its a flip of a switch. Also things they could do could entail maybe giving everyone 10% off store purchase coupon or something. All easily done and I doubt the guy who does store coupons is working on the imperial city.
you do realize even doing something as simple as a 10% experience boost for the day is a lot more complicated than just flipping a switch. secondly what does it matter if they recognize anniversary or not?

Its not more complicated. You hit a button that changes a flag. Mailing a 10% coupon is as easy as hitting "send all" and enter.

well I'm glad to know I'm talking to somebody who spends their life programming lines of code for computers. aside from that though there is no need for them to do anything for the anniversary when there are more important things to be done. it is very clear we're not going to agree so have a wonderful night.

Hey man you are the one getting all upset acting like this one thing could somehow jeopardize the entire future of the game. Give players a 10% off crowns coupon and the game will have no content forever.

the thing is I'm really not upset about it I just got a question the priority of posts like this there are people who are posting in favour of this thred and the whole anniversary celebration who are also posting on other threads about removing that ranks and adding new content. I was only trying to point out the fact that in a list of priorities something like this should be at the bottom of the list.

You sure act upset. I get it you said three times now what you think. The reason I think you are upset is because you are being pretty hostile about it.

ZOS is giving out 1st Anniversary badges for the forums. Still, I anticipate they'll send everyone a thank you email on the 4th acknowledging the day.

Thanks for sticking with us for a full year.
twevYou earned this badge 8:50AM
7517 people have earned this badge."
Subtracting yours from mine gives me a number that is smaller than I'd have expected for approximately 2.5 days elapsed time, and mine is a much smaller number than I'd expect for a game released with such ballyhoo.

I have been here since March 2014 and did not get a "First Anniversary" badge in the forum, so don't take those numbers too seriously.
Meanwhile, most people expect to give gifts on a birthday or anniversary for someone else, not receive them. These people got it right: ESO First Anniversary - A gift to Zenimax from the ESO community
As I stated yesterday what's more important, a pat on the back for being here a year or the bilug fixes and new content everyone wants?

In a car, which is the most important engine or fuel?
Both.
In an MMORPG is important to each of its aspects, it is true that improve the game issues has more relevance, but take care of the community and be attentive to this remains an important factor.
It may seem ridiculous, but such oversights can plant the idea that really are not interested in those who are now, and his real interest is that there is always someone.
This manifests with companies that have no real interest in their current consumers but what worries them is that there are always consumers, leading to continuous recycling of the community, with users coming and going.
When prove to be attentive to these details is because they transmit their interest for which they are now, that make your existing community.
That is why it is important to take care of these details.

I would be all for ZOS doing it all if they had an infinite number of employees and resources. Since they don't have that I appreciate the fact that things like this are pushed to the bottom of the list of priorities.
