No, it's sufficiently dead. Threads like these are cesspits and breeding grounds for troll-ish remarks and lackluster justifications bestowing false hope to the ignorant/stubborn and woefully uninformed. Or just those with unreasonable expectations.

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen this topic (or another like it) crop up on these forums and watched all the individuals who expected ESO to be Skyrim 2 With Friends get shaken out from their nests to post their 2 cents on the matter, I would never need to work another day in my life to support my family for as long as I live.

You could live the rest of your days on six bucks? I'm impressed.
You will never see a ZOS employee post on petition threads or demand threads like these EXCEPT in an administrative capacity, as illustrated with the removal of posts that are in breach of the Forum rules and the announcement of said actions.

If I'm honest, the moderators on here do actually maintain a remarkably professional attitude... especially given some of the inmates we're locked in here with. :p

Trust me when I say; you do not want boards where the developers and moderators participate in arguments and then use their administrative authority to exert their will. I've seen that too many times over the years, and it is a mess.

    I'm thrifty.

no no no. I want classes. I want distinction. Every class should be able to fulfill every role. Give us more class skill lines that fill these gaps. It is still Elder Scrolls, play what you want but you have different thematic backgrounds.

The only reason that I can see for implementing classes is that they think that their players are not intelligent enough to make decisions for themselves; they can't handle the responsibility.

Classes simplify the game by restricting your choices and pigeon-holing you into specific roles. They make it harder for a player to make a terrible build.

I do not believe that players should be protected from their own incompetence.

Thankfully, from what i have seen, spell-crafting does appear to be the answer to this as it effectivelying gives players access to all skills.

The game will, eventually, be even better!

A class system is to make distinguishing feats between each and every class in the game.
Throwing in a class system with the words "every class can do everything" ruins that feat.

I play as a class that has a complete healing tree, yet people start tripping balls if i outheal some other class.
If they want a class system, MAKE THEM DIFFERENT.

    - Templar: Healing.
    - Nightblade: Burst DPS.
    - Sorcerers: Magic Sustain DPS.
    - Dragonknight: Tank.

If they can't divide the classes, Scrap them.
    Mending-The-Wounded, Aldmeri Dominion, Templar.
