The 'achievers' complain about 'casuals' getting stuff they [the 'achievers''] want to keep as their own private preserve.NadiusMaximus wrote: »You should be able to pick which type of dungeon you are entering if playing solo. Why not?
the vast majority of people that played the game in beta/launch quit and said it sucks, and some people just didn't like the game.

With the content locusts of today's all mmo's get hit with the ebb and flow, of players going between games until the next update comes out and then they are back for a little while.
I guess time will tell, and it would be shame in my opinion, as a long time mmo player and fan of elder scrolls, ESO is a breath of fresh air, compared to the cookie cutter mmo's offered over the last few years.
If the game does fail there is no one to blame but ZOS for not getting the bugs and issues with the game corrected that was important to the player base and to the game play it's self.

I mean, it's pretty obvious that ESO had poor reviews, the vast majority of people that played the game in beta/launch quit and said it sucks, and some people just didn't like the game. I can't help but notice on the NA servers that zones feel less populated, PvP is slower, etc. I feel like people are getting upset and starting wishlists, "I want threads", and nerf this buff that/fix this fix that threads non stop. While I agree on fixing/buffing/nerfing(meh) things some of these come out rude and threaten to unsubscribe. I think people have not judged the game properly or are trying to take ZOS as a new company for advantage almost. The population has been decreasing I feel like (Not sure on exact #s).
I think ESO will eventaully have to change buissness models and make it buy to play and buy expansions. I'm PRO sub fees but I think another business model would appeal to a wider range of players and have some sort of Free 5 day trial thing to make it more appealing on console. I DO NOT think it is dying right now, I see more and more people saying they will unsub but also people coming back or taking interest to the game. But I think a different buisness model would appeal to a wider range of people. I just think we should discuss this and if people think it is or not. I don't think ESO is dying but I don't think it is in the safe zone either. What do you think?

I would not put too much stock in forum badge counters as a way to measure how the game is doing. The counters are unreliable as a tool for measuring and the forum itself counts for only a fraction of the total player population. There is no requirement to log into the forum to play the game, or even read the forum. No matter how much someone plays the game, without logging into the forum, the badges will not update.

this is something so many people, devs and players included, dont seem to understand.
The forums only contain the most infinitesimal amount of players on them, and they are almost never the ones devs should be listening to, as forum go'ers are some of the most hateful, angry, malcontents ever conceived by the human uterus, if infact these people are human at all.
in truth, when concerning balance issues, the best thing for the devs to do is to play their own game, and arrive at their own conclusions entirely outside of the opinion of the gamer-base.
When concerning new content, they need to look at the past installments of this series as well as what their competitor mmo's are doing. Currently, in both aspects, they are failing miserably, in content and competition.
Only 9800 are left from beta out of hundreds of thousands..... says alot.

NA PvP sometimes seems so dead that you would think we have too many campaigns. Between the bugs, the lag, and the opaque/inconsistent API, there's not much left for those of us who have been playing for over 6 months.
The new players are enjoying themselves and console will undoubtedly sell alotta copies. The PC side of this game sometimes feels like it's in its death throes.

May I ask what data you've read to back this claim up? The vast majority? I really don't think so.
