Nightblade's Stealth - Completely Broken? Possibly resolved?

I don't know if Zenimax are under the illusion that they have fixed the problem and all is fine. Cloak is broken, lots of times I get hit while cloaked and get knocked out of it. Stealth itself is broken, as I am now getting hit when the eye is shut. Majority of my deaths in Cyrodiil are due to these two issues. For a NB cloak is a class defining ability and its disgusting the fact that a) its not fixed by now and b) that lack of communication about it from the developers.

I find the skill to be way more useful than it was a couple weeks back. I'm getting out of sticky situations again vs multiple players and have been able to scout / recon and generally be a pain in the ass behind enemy lines with sneak and shadow cloak.

That said there are times where it's just not working and for no apparent reason. It is definitely frustrating to not be marked and shield or weapon charged seconds AFTER hitting cloak.

For the most part I think it's a lag issue. I can't rule out hacks either but I really don't like going down that road. I'm more inclined to believe it has to do with lag, latency , download / Upload issues.

Think someone mentioned cloaked players being tab-targetable, which would explain why people get hit cloaked from far away and seemingly out of nowhere. Any confirmation on this?

I'm embarrassed to say I pretty much don't use tab targeting but I've been trying to last couple weeks to do it and make it a habit. As of yet I've not seen where it messes up cloak but I've only used it in large battles a hand full of times.

That said, I have heard for months from Hard Core PvPrs that tab cloak does indeed keep the Night Blade targeted thus allowing for shield and weapon charging. This was the explanation given, from multiple individuals over months, many times when I had a cow after being attacked through cloak.

This game is f#@ked. Attacking with no damage again.
Being a NB is never going to be fixed. I have cancelled my subscription and this will be the end of my foray into mmorpg

It should not end your foray into MMORPG if you liked the online\group elements.

Whilst it is true that all MMOs are a work in progress by their very nature of ongoing expansion, test, refinement, expansion; ESO is a particularly badly managed game with appalling levels of support.

Generally speaking, an MMO would be in its stride by now, not run by a team still learning the ropes and using the player base as outright guinea pigs. I don't think you should judge an entire genre on a bad experience in this one game, as you will limit your potential postive experiences in future.

The main issue I have with ESO, is that ZOS come across that they don't actually know what they are doing.

I'm afraid I'm with you on this one.

I've just played another session with stealth not working properly and Shadow Cloak breaking and then, during a dungeon boss fight, my skills key stopped working.

Problems with skills keys (a very fundamental flaw) has been going on since the early days; when I first posted about it I got a post from Zenimax say it was being looked at. Month's later it's still going on but probably lost to Zenimanx under loads of new content, half tested 'fixes' and a raft of further bugged code that's been dumped on top; unsuprisingly I don't see Zenimax commenting on it any more.

I genuine believe that they don't have a clue how to fix the majority of bugs in the game and have probably given up trying.

To my mind, new content at this stage is just polishing a turd and judging by how loudly heralded updates have broken things in the pass, I'm a little nervous about update 5.

There's a saying that you shouldn't build a house on shaky foundations; sadly this is what Zenimax have done with ESO; in was released bug ridden and in beta format and has had a shed load of new content and new bugs pilled on top ever since. I think that ESO is starting to topple over!

Well since my 2 MMO experiences were AgeOfConan and this; it might well put an end to my MMO career. Granted ESO was never as broken as AoC on release (not even close), but I feel very frustrated after 6 months with the large number of subtle problems.

[edit - I have to decide whether or not to renew in 15 days or so; I am leaning distinctly negative]

I also will not renew when my ESO sub is up, but I know there will be other games out there for me. If not now, then in future.

No malice in it but, ZOS will have to step up their game a great deal if they intend to keep my (and many others who came from single player) attention and money going forward.

Won't be that long before Geralt and Co are calling. New adventures in Thedas aren't very far off either.
