It's kind of funny to see EP posters bag on their own faction, apparently in the hopes of gaining the approval of the vocal blue/yellow axe-grinders in this thread. AD has had their pet buff server since day 1 of the new campaigns, and DC has theirs (we had our fun crowning an emp on Bow and finally seeing some new names in the resistance that showed up, but knew that it would be blue again in 2 hours), and yet red are supposedly uniquely evil for doing it to Chill (which never lasts for long anyway)?

With that said, I do roll my eyes when I log in and notice my stats are embarrassingly OP and realize without checking we've done the 18 keeps/6 scrolls thing. (Nowhere near to being a new phenomenon, btw, as references to Auriel's and Bloodthorn in this thread rightfully recall.) But the system is set up so that whoever has the most map not only gets buffs but the most points each time the scoring tick rolls around. Not sure what the fix for this is - the pvp hordes will always want to run the map, even if the connoisseurs among us would rather see gate keeps left intact (although they are legit targets for scroll raids). I'm not sure packing us into 2 campaigns with endless queues and constant disconnects/crashes/fps drops is the answer, either, although one hopes ZOS is still trying to optimize/bolster their servers to allow for more population, even though I personally am not optimistic. But at least there are encouraging signs of posters in this thread pointing to the overall pvp structure as it's set up and brainstorming fixes for it, instead of singlemindedly demonizing one faction in order to get their self-righteous on.

In the meantime, as others have sporadically pointed out, it's possible to still have fun finding the most heated battles on the map no matter what color it is. Strangely enough, I even have fun if my raid group gets wiped, as long as we fought hard and it was an exciting battle without a clear outcome until the last.

I "bag" on my own faction because even though I have tried to make my Alliance see the error of their ways, they refuse in an abrupt, ignorant manner to see the reality which is PvP dying in this game.
This is my Alliance. I use to be so proud to fight for the Ebonheart Pact. In the beginning, despite DC and AD teaming up on us in Auriel's bow, we held our own for so long and even managed to push back against BOTH alliances. We lost that campaign because eventually, every EP player left and squeezed into Wabbajack.
That's when all the mentality started with EP being cocky. It's easy to win when your whole faction is fighting half of each enemy alliance during a zerg fest. They brought that mentality to Chillrend.
Even in beta, the fights were amazing despite the bugs but if Zenimax can keep my adrenaline pumping in the 3-way fights we had in beta even with so many bugs, then it's an amazing PvP system. But for the game to be a great PvP-system the players have to contribute as well. We are not robots. They should not have to force ways for us to fight; to make it "even".
Yes, Chillrend isn't the only campaign being painted a solid color, but that doesn't mean we should be the last one. Bow of Shadows is gone. Thornblade is gone. Chillrend will be gone too if players don't admit what they are doing is wrong. If the player-base is all about farming points instead of the thrill of fighting, why play? Then the leader-boards just become whoever farms or PvDoors the most.

I have no love for the TB/haderus AD myself and would almost as readily farm them on my EP/DC alts. Why stack an overpopulated campaign? Get the hell out of there and come to Chillrend, IMO.

Logging in every day and getting zerged down at my gates isn't particularly fun, I assume that goes for any faction.

This morning demonstrated to me the only reason EHJ is still playing on this campaign.

The massive amounts of AP to be farmed off these horrifically bad EP as they try to retake kings. Once I have dragon - I'm going DEEP!! And...not for the scrolls to take them home. To taunt EP and farm their zerglings.

om nom nom.

Tasty D tics at kings..dragon...and just overall fun.

Good fights though guys - bring more!!

The hypocrisy is almost as amusing as the crying. So many people trying to convince themselves that the only reason they are losing is that the other side isn't playing fair and their own side is heavily outnumbered... when you can log on and see two factions locked and another at three bars, and two factions are all-out attacking EP. Math is hard, I guess. Almost as hard as admitting you've lost.

I'm looking forward to hearing more 'lamentations of the women'. Bring on more posts by people who claim to be winning because they farmed some APs, while their faction gets crushed in the actual war. But then again, if I could pilfer from the Mahabharata, the tears of my enemies are like my mother's milk to me

I know you commented but I am stunned at how short a thread with two posts by @ZOS_BrianWheeler ended up being. Not stunned by the agrees and people who love the idea of removing PvE buffs from Cyrodil. That really is the core of the problem.

The Epic Defense of BRK and a 28K Defense Tick - nevermind the 90K we made in the process of the defense. We even split 6 guys off to defend Chalman in the middle of it!

EP has been pushed back on. Whatever will they do?

What I find most amusing about Chillrend and this thread...

The way AD and DC try so hard and talk so much smack, and yet despite your cute little "green alliance" and the almost-constant whining in this thread, EP has more points than both of your two alliances, combined.

Keep up the verbal warfare, boys. It's a pity your alliances don't fight as hard in-game as you do in the forums -- you'd keep your scrolls for more than five hours.

Better luck next campaign. Here's a free tip: you're better off working on your builds instead of trolling the forums.

Oh, but it *was* amusing when a certain player got so butt-hurt, she came within a hair's breadth of getting banned for announcing on this thread her intention to use an exploit. By all means, do it again. Maybe next time the mods won't rescue your account from the killer-combo of bruised ego plus rampant stupidity. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

PvDoor - you win. No one ever put into question that the EP on Chill have a superior PvDoor force than both DC and AD. Hence, you win the campaign by a landslide.

As Rylana stated quite clearly - you lost just about everything nightly. Usually you were hanging on with your fingernails to emp and all your scrolls - nightly. However, in terms of AP gains on this particular campaign I believe you will see maybe 4 or 5 EP with high points - everyone else is pretty low on points - even running all those scout missions daily lulz.

For a guy who endlessly cried about AB and how your failed alliance with DC on AB ended...well you really should re-define how you term different people. EHJ spent a day or two on Thorn this past week (for a break and some fun with no ties to the campaign) - otherwise we never left Chill. Even facing 3 bar to one bar pop we never left. We have taken it to EP every chance we could and farmed gross amounts of AP and had tremendous fun doing so - refining our tactics at zerg busting and teamwork to make us an even tighter knit group.

So, let me thank you for helping us get better at handling 16-24 V 50+ it really was helpful. And, I will take all the copious donations of AP you have made at the EHJ altar in good faith that maybe we also helped you learn a different style of play at times.

BTW -- I completely take back what I said, previously, about how it wasn't any fun logging in to see AD and DC gate-camped. It's very entertaining to see the losing alliances parade their endless excuses for failure, here. If you guys can't put up a good fight, I'm perfectly content leveling my alts, instead -- I won't let my disappointment in the competition force me to log out, prematurely.

I think you miss the point.

AD won the campaign by every metric that matters.

You look at some roleplay board of numbers, I look at kills/AP generation.

We absolutely destroyed you and will continue to. But please do keep preening as I am slaughtering the sea of red by the literal hundreds.

PvP. And in PvP EP on this campaign is absolutely horrific. They literally cant do anything but fight empty keeps with no/few actual living players in them or they faceplant.

I think you need to learn the difference between a real victory and a roleplay victory.

Still waiting to hear who you are in game, I am absolutely sure by this point youre a jocksniffing scrub that doesnt even do anything but follow the zerg. Probably terrified that I will literally go through all three of my toons codex and add up a hundred kills on you with not a single death to you.

For a guy who endlessly cried about AB and how your failed alliance with DC on AB ended...well you really should re-define how you term different people. EHJ spent a day or two on Thorn this past week (for a break and some fun with no ties to the campaign) - otherwise we never left Chill. Even facing 3 bar to one bar pop we never left. We have taken it to EP every chance we could and farmed gross amounts of AP and had tremendous fun doing so - refining our tactics at zerg busting and teamwork to make us an even tighter knit group.

So, let me thank you for helping us get better at handling 16-24 V 50+ it really was helpful. And, I will take all the copious donations of AP you have made at the EHJ altar in good faith that maybe we also helped you learn a different style of play at times.

I'm sorry, but you've given a lot more thought as to who I am than I have given you -- I don't know (or care) what EHJ is, so you can save all of your "ya, but" excuses for someone who gives a rat's tail.

It sure is a pity that "so we can win the campaign" is not part of your "fun"

Please, pile on more excuses for why you lost this campaign. It's absolutely delightful witnessing AD and DC verbally expressing their impotent rage.

BTW -- I completely take back what I said, previously, about how it wasn't any fun logging in to see AD and DC gate-camped. It's very entertaining to see the losing alliances parade their endless excuses for failure, here. If you guys can't put up a good fight, I'm perfectly content leveling my alts, instead -- I won't let my disappointment in the competition force me to log out, prematurely.

Each of my chars went up a rank this cycle. Each one. Wish I would have homed here, but alas I guested. That adds up to somewhere in the ballpark of a million AP off of these EP bads. Talk about donation, I say thanks for the skillpoints.
