How killing NPC's COULD be a good idea.

    So long as open world pvp is a thing you have to opt in for I see no issue. So long as quest NPCs and other important NPCs cant be harmed ESO will stay the same for those not wanting to be involved.

    I agree, but since pvpers now have the option to opt into open world pvp, can the pve people have the option to opt out of pvp fights in Cyrodiil any time soon.

    The way I understand it, the only NPCs you can kill will be the guards that are called when you get caught steeling. Not sure how this could be considered griefing in any way. These guards spawn just for this reason and their death would in no way effect anyone else. You will not be allowed to rampage an entire town or village.

    In the video from the Quakecon thingamabob he stops and shoots a random NPC not a guard. And as he moves other npcs get the yellow glow around them, indicating he could attack them. But we are not sure how far it goes from there, since they didnt say.
