This sums up 99% of the complaints at this forum.

When your car breaks down and you take it to the shop, do you go over all the great things about the car or do you just tell the repair person what is wrong with the car?

So, duh, people who come here to tell ZOS what is wrong, just wants the stuff fixed.

You want to hold their hand and make sure their feeling don't get hurt, be my guest.

Terrible analogy. I don't even know where to begin, but there is very little in common between an auto mechanic and the development team for a video game company. Do you know how much money I had to pay last time my car needed repairs? And that was my own personal car, not some shared vehicle driven by millions, not to mention that my car cost me thousands to buy, while this game cost you how much? Also, my car is much more important than some game. If you have the money to pay a development team to make you your own personal game without flaws, then by all means, make one. And if you're having technical issues, take them to the support forum where they belong.

As for ESO, there is now a front page article on www.mmorpg.com. Everybody happy?

Did you read the article? Or at least the title?

Is ESO Dying or Just Carving a Niche?

He said most of the PvP players have all gathered to one campaign because of lack of players.

He said he lost 80 players so far from in his own guild.

    It's not looking good.

I did read the article & the title. You abstracted the most negative comments from an article that was vastly indecisive. He mentioned he lost 80 players from his own Guild, without mentioning how many players they started with or how many they gained since. For PvP, he said many have migrated to Wabbajack & speculated on some reasons that he felt they may have done so. He doesn't know what those reasons are & neither do you.

Has anyone else noticed that pretty much all fan sites for this game are dead?

Tamriel Foundry forums are so slow. Topics frequently go days without responses. In-depth discussions of mechanics and builds are slowing to a trickle.

MMORPG forgot about this game on April 4th.

Dulfy articles for ESO frequently have zero comments, whereas GW2 articles typically have dozens and SWTOR articles have hundreds.

ESOHead is clearly far worse than WoWHead. These sites rely on users to submit data, so it stands to reason that the quality of these online databases is proportional to the number of users.

I suppose the ESO subreddit is fine if you're looking for screenshots of Pacrooti's mail text, or screenshots of amusing glitches, or screenshots of "missing" textures with the title "does anyone know what this means?!?!?

Are there any fan sites that are still alive?

As the second poster said, things take time. MMO-Champion wouldn't even give ESO its own forum, even though they gave some non-Blizzard games their own. I think there's a lot of unjustified blind prejudice out there against this game, but oh well, that's their stupid problem.

not surprising when their bot fixes nerf every single player.

not surprising when their balance team for Vet PvE cant find their head from a stump in the ground.
when their balance is all about PvP and PvE isnt even taken into account when they do "LOLbalance".

just to name a few reasons i believe is why the game fell off a cliff.

Dont mind them. While Zenimax working on their side, Reddit community seams to come up with several workarounds.

Erhm, even if ESO would not go so well, which I think they very well will, just fix Cyro! I really dont see players who enjoy ESO ever wants to go close to WoW anymore.

It is summertime, low player number in most MMOs for some reason.

Played it a lot. Last year just to get my raid fix.....but the ultra easy "glare at a mob and you get an epic" expansion....you couldn't pay me to go there.

I am thinking about the last 2 days and the activity from Zeni. Thats ensuring.

Yeah I hate it. No theorycrafting because there's no endgame. No worthwhile VR12 class guides or class discussion. No discussion about dungeons because nobody runs them more than once. I've been feeding my horses and collecting my hireling goods whilest hoping for a miracle patch. If I didn't know a few IRL people who play (other factions, whoops) I wouldn't have a sub.

The framework of this game is really good and it didn't deserve the poor execution that we got. Still hoping for the miracle July patch to work things out but I know I'm probably throwing another $15 in the toilet.

Way to completely miss the point on post.

All i was saying is if something is broke, you tell the person who can fix it what the problem is without going over all it's lovely features.

BTW, these forums are here to discuss the game. All aspects of the game.

Technical issues section are for people who have technical problems, not to review aspects of the game ZOS is getting wrong.

Whatever. My guild (BoR) is pretty active, our TeamSpeak servers are still full during peak hours, and I'm still enjoying the game. We're still holding successful events in Cyrodiil. I had a blast last weekend. Hell, my FPS has gone up over the last few weeks. I am interested in the features they plan on rolling out. I think it's worth my sub. Please keep up the good work and don't let the turkeys get you down.

The population should have grown with release though. In ESO's case the fan base has significantly dwindled, there were more fans in Beta.

Populations never grow following release. Games never retain ALL of the initial influx of players testing the water. Having said that I think this game has suffered more sub cancellations than they expected. They now seem to be banking on the console release to back up the numbers. In many ways this will be a relaunch and we are the testers for that relaunch

No esoui isn't a fan site, it's the site we go to for addons to make the game bearable. If all we had was the native UI this game wouldn't be worth playing.

the game runs better and plays better with out add ons. add ons need to be renamed to subtractions. they take away from the game more then they could possibly add

No one is playing in Vet levels. They've all quit. My guilds are dead. They've all quit. Their subs will run out. PVP is about to die. That was the last bastion for VRs. Then what for ZOS? Time to face reality. It's not an "unknown". It's staring you in the face.

    1) esohead.com is so bad it doesn't even have people to actually APPROVE user submitted data. I know, I've tried to upload a few screens about 2 months ago, they're still not there. I also wasn't able to make a comment and my display name was different each time I've logged in... It also has 120% worse layout than wowhead, especially in comment section.. not to mention abysmal loading pages that makes me wonder if someone's not running that server on his living room PC..

    2) ZOS regularly scares away players. Not just new players. There is literally no point in waiting for some fix, because we KNOW they can't fix a single thing without ruining half game. Do they hire chinese tailoresses to do their fixing or what? Seriously..

    3) posts defending the game are regularly edited by moderators for whatever reason, they want, posts that make fun of the game or talk *** about it are generally left the way they were written.

    4) topics trying to actually HELP ZOS are ignored. Except a very few (like that one provisioning one that at least got acknowledged)

Oh well, I'm third day playing Might and Magic X Legacy to get myself into nostalgia mode. I'm starting ESO just for feeding horses, looting mails and setting up research.. that probably means I still HOPE, but I'm not too far from just giving up on MMORPGS as a whole.
