Ah, I got win 7, 64 bit. Several friends keep trying to get me to change to throwup 8...I mean windows 8, no way.

A serous question thought, did anyone else experience LESS lag..smoother game and better graphics? That stunned me. Since everyone else is lagging (My 16GB ram is probebly the reason for that)

I cant explain directly, but everything looked, brighter, detailed, better. Like it!

They remastered an lot. But cant be my system. It is an leak. My system is configured ultra stable by 3 tools which did some killbits/ pc tweaks and which arent scam.

None of the supposed fixes have worked for me, including editing my user settings and disabling all add-ons. Takes about 20 minutes before I'm wading through crippling lag.

This isnt fixable this way else you have got an outdated / bugged audio driver.

For all realtek ones: <- and this shall be an lot.

check yours there and update asap.

Then this hint with the audio settings is outdated.

Confirmed by my task manager as well. ESO exe keeps sucking memory from my computer just on the character selection screen. The launcher seems stable at the moment. No add ons loaded at the moment. This must be corrected ASAP. This is a very serious issue.

If what I've read is correct, the memory leak only starts if you spend a lot of time on the character selection screen. If you select your character quickly and log in, the leak never starts. This is definitely the case for me, as my RAM usage was 1.4gb after a 5 hour play session earlier.

That doesn't work, I spent 10 seconds in character select and after 2 hours my RAM usage was over 26 gigs.

This is not possible. ESO is a 32-bit application. Since it is LAA, and assuming you have a 64-bit OS, that means the *maximum* it can ever use is 4gb. If it hits the 4gb mark, the application will crash. It cannot ever possibly use 26gb.

Thanks, I checked the latest updates on my graphic driver. was 2 weeks ago only. They mention some games, but also added and enhanced support for graphic "things" like the following:

Stuttering has been improved in certain applications when selecting mid-Eyefinity resolutions with V-sync Enabled

    Full support for OpenGL 4.4

OpenGL 4.4 supports the following extensions:
    ARB_buffer_storage
    ARB_enhanced_layouts
    ARB_query_buffer_object
    ARB_clear_texture
    ARB_texture_mirror_clamp_to_edge
    ARB_texture_stencil8
    ARB_vertex_type_10f_11f_11f_rev
    ARB_multi_bind
    ARB_bindless_texture
    ARB_spare_texture
    ARB_seamless_cubemap_per_texture
    ARB_shader_draw_parameters
    ARB_shader_group_vote

This is a bit embarasing for me since I built over 10 computers. Work with hardware, but for some reason I cant explain, I'll always did pay much interest in the graphic cards internal "features and support". I know what OpenGL is and what a good and bad graphic card is. But these neverending support for "stuff" that some applications, games and even operating systems can use for better look, I wasnt really interested in. I just always kept the latest driver, and with Windows 7, I save the former driver just in case.

I saw the patchnotes that mentioned better support for XXXX graphic something. I guess I was lucky and had a card with the driver that supported it and saw the difference in the game.

As I said, the game doesn't just look better, it "feels" more smooth. And I always run everything on the highest setting with the highest possible resolution.

Thanks for explaining this and I learned something today, heh.
