Enough of hysteria, this is not funny. We have the best class in the game right now. Our class provides the most flexible style of play. We are the best tanks, wreckers, mages, DDs, supports, gangers. That's just NBs are bad archers well and let other classes suffer with this weapon. I am afraid will soon be a nerf.
!NB full of bugs , clock bug and stupid nerf of siphoning strikes! even child can break our stealth!!!!

Do not use stealth, if you do not like how it works. We have a lot of fun skills, unlike other classes that have a limited set of useful skills.

I am ashamed that for my favorite class to play Emo hysteric. Make for yourself infirm DKs.

like selfheals, shields, etc...? yeah we have those useless skills like the another classes... wait we dont. DK full of good skills. templars full of good skills. sorcerers full of good skill.... dont troll pls.

You eighter dont have those classes, or dont have NB, or you are just an another random lightarmor+staff+f.gpirism user.

    Theres always cleanse.

    Good news and Bad news.
With next update on 9/16 they claim that our own DOTs will no longer drop us from Stealth. Heard this story before, so we'll see.

However, they are also "fixing" (nerfing into the freak'n ground) Strife. It's funny, I was just asking someone to pipe down about this before the Nerf police set their sights on it.

As it stands now, the HOT from strife scales from the damage of the previous attack, not from it's own damage. This makes it possible to have the HOT tick for 400HP-500HP after an Ambush for 1500HP damage. (2000HP-2500HP over 5 ticks)

It also makes it possible that if you aren't paying attention, and cast it after a light attack or worse yet a blocked attack it may only heal for 20HP/tick or less.

Say hello to a maximum HOT tick of around 150HP-200HP (750HP-1000HP over 5 ticks). This is rightly categorized as a fix, but for a class with so many issues anything that lessens our self heals or damage is a defacto Nerf.

    This change blows!

It's actually fine as a fix. 200 hp heal all the time is better than 500hp if everything goes right and 8hp if it doesn't. I had found a way to work around/exploit the bug to my advantage so I was comfortable with this particular bug.

Agreed, once a skill is actually working as advertised, if it is still underpowered then there is a better argument for it to be buffed in its working state.
Its much easier to change 25% to 30% than to fix the bug that causes it to heal for 8 or 500 hp per tick pending your use of random weapon procs and bad luck.

Hmm. let me explain since you are ... Its not normal to exploit the ability to get insane amount hot, and not normal that you do like 300 dmg, then you do 800 with the ability, and you get the 25% of the 300 and not 800. You see the problem now? I bet you are an OPlar or DK, or even a vampire. If you are any of those, then i know why are you so .... umm... you know what...

Fair enough. Though given our current condition, I don't feel that 200 extra on a HOT only if everything goes right is much of an exploit. I seldom PVP so no epeens were harmed in the exploitation of this bug.

I quit ESO after first month. I had tons of fun but it needed justice system and dark brotherhood. I am waiting for PS4 launch in 2015. I hope NB is fixed by then. 6 to 10 months should be enough I hope. Game will feel more ES like on console as well on a 80 inch Tv / very dark room. Lets hope console version isnt cancled.... Really looking forward to ESO in the future and playing NB. Not sure what has changed much but for vet lvls in the first month or so of ESO i had to go all light armor with 2 hander as nightblade and spam shadow disguise a billion times to just stay alive and poison mist spam.

lol, read the thread a bit; I state many times that I play 2 NBs (my mains) as well as a Sorc and a DK (alts). I'm a pretty outspoken member of the NB community, honestly.

I know all about the bug w/ Strife and how it works, and how it can be exploited.

I'm not sure what part of my post makes you think that I don't understand the mechanics of the bug, as I didn't mention anything at all about it.

It was a bug, it needed to be fixed so that balance can occur properly.

My post was just poking a bit of fun at the irony of begging for fixes, and then complaining about the fixes when they happen. If you can't see the irony in that, then I'm sure my post was entirely lost on you. It happens.

But it's not really cool to insult others because YOU failed to understand the content of a post.

@kypho I did not say it was as good as other classes. I said there is no point in belittling something even further then it already is. Its like stating information that is obvious already to make a point but since it is already been known its redundant and not helping the situation. You should at least come up with some positive information that a person would want to know but can't because of all the hate and negativity surrounding the subject. That is what I am trying to say.

I think the phrase 'beating a dead horse to death' would fit nicely here. :)

There wouldn't be a dead horse to beat if ZOS would just GET OFF THEIR BLOODY ARSES AND FIX NBs ALREADY!

A large part of the problem is that everybody wants NBs "fixed", but even in this thread, there isn't really any sort of consensus on what is actually broken, aside from Shadow Cloak.

The rest of it is basically just a lot of misconceptions, outright falsehoods, and "Sorc has this, give me this, DK has this, give me this."

ZOS has been pushing fixes out to the class slowly over time, and NBs are in a pretty good place overall when comparing actual ability to play the game.

Cloth/staff NBs are doing excellently in both PvE and PvP, there are some pretty good stamina-based NB builds floating around now that are able to consistently break the 1k DPS wall in Trials, and of course the NB is still the best class in the game for stealth ganking.

Defensively, they are lacking compared to some other classes, as it was designed to be more elusive via use of Cloak, teleports, speed boosts, etc. If the major crux of NB defense (Shadow Cloak) was fixed, this would be a lot more viable, imo.

Offensively in PvP, NBs have access to a few choice actions that other classes don't, like a CC that works even while your opponent is blocking, shades (teleport or stamina drain morphs), etc.

I think that as long as they continue to move in the right direction, things are fine. There are some really great NB builds out there, and some awesome NB players.

Of course, as w/ any class, your mileage may vary. I honestly believe that NBs were seen as the underdog for so long, that even now when they are MUCH, MUCH better than at launch, some players fail to grasp some of the potential of the class' strengths and then simply blame the tools instead of their own skill.

I'm not the best NB out there, but most often when things go wrong, I try to see what I have at my disposal and what I did wrong in the situation, and usually there are things that I could have done better.

    This ^

    ^^ That x2...

Nightblades are probably the most utility heavy class there is... I love that fact, because it allows far better skill combinations than any others... If you don't see it yourself, maybe you should read in between the lines of the skills a bit better. If you suck at that, go play Magic: The Gathering live with other players. It will teach you how to understand how to read and combine abilities far better than you think you already can.

And all above dudes should see why most NB mentioning other classes, who have better heals, better dmg, better tanking skills, so.... overall skills. CC what works on blocking enemies? Ohh how great, you fear a dude who will run for 4 sec while holding block. NICE one. Templar is a lot easier and boring class i admit that, with its übermega heals and blazings (no need to be in light armor and no need for lulstaff). I gave up on DK because its a easy joke, and nobrain crap. You have right in one point, NB is fun many times because its not an easy crap. But the bugs, the underpowered selfheals... the best resource gainer skill what decreasing your damage.... Ok. you are not as bad, if you are the another crap what is a big BS, a vampire....

NBs ask for abilities to be fixed.

    Abilities get fixed.

NB complains about abilities being fixed.

    .......

Nightblade cloak even worse than before!

Fixed. You keep using this word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

And that is obviously not intended, as per your own thread. It's already on its way to being fixed.

I know what it means (and yes, I got the reference), it's ZOS who apparently didn't. : P

So cloak doesn't work still. Ns set also doesn't work stealth radius passives don't work. Thanks for the fixes guys I must not have realised how op we were good job you nerfed us again.
I mean who the hell would want to play a stealth class that was better at stealth than the non stealthy ones.

Fair enough. Though given our current condition, I don't feel that 200 extra on a HOT only if everything goes right is much of an exploit. I seldom PVP so no epeens were harmed in the exploitation of this bug.

No wonder. PvP is a mess with these imballances. OP vamps, templars, dks... gosh....

After your reply, I ventured into Cyrodiil last night. I had only ever done that in an empty campaign to gather Skyshards before.

Gosh is right. I think the two most glaring things were the Sorc phasing through me with a stun then winking away into nowhere, and DK's that shrugged off and outhealed damage from 5 players at once.

Some great moments though. One on one with another NB was a blast, died in the end, but came away with an adrenaline rush.

FYI @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ stated that us silly NB's and our game breaking class abilities and STEALTH issues have to wait a full week for what NEEDS to be a hotfix. But no, a week and waiting on 1.4.4

    Stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Seriously, I think I've lost brain cells.

Also a PvE boss mob gets priority (Hotfixed!)... over a class being completely broken. BRILLIANT!

PvE difficult when damage is higher, not because they are smart, they dont dodge, dont even block exept those what are doing it like a script. Not even a small intelligence, like you attack an archer, he wont try to gain distance at all etc. So... pve doesnt bring amusement, its just a joke...

Zenimax, fix nightblades! All skills are broken, remains the only one to use. Why enemies still do not fall from one of our sight? Make us opblades, please.
