Okay, I'm going to ask: is it possible this is just a bug? I mean, why would they add the cool color schemes to armors, then remove them (and they are gone)? Just to make everyone angry??
C'mon, they're not doing that. Why would they intentionally take color schemes out of the game? It makes no sense except it's a bug.

@Nephys Neither do i, it was unfortunate developers chose to evolve game only for VR players this soon, my highest character was 42, and after they raised the cap sooner than 2 months, i gave up, players such as me who enjoys journey will never be same with rushers especilaly in PvP. I prefer to leave instead being judged as second class citizen as you mentioned. And i don't see any RP wise group content or encouriging people to group up but only for raiding and PvP. Pity, the game had too much potential especially RP wise but they chose to follow World of Warcraft footprints. I didn't see anyone contribute RP because there is simply nothing for them. Nevermind maybe i am old fashioned player or minority...
@Thalmar Perhaps you (and I) can be accused of being old fashioned, but I actually do not think we are so much of a minority.
It really does appear that ZoS do not want players that take their time, level slowly, play alts. It has been made worse by the various exploit-causing bugs which has meant that those that rushed through content to level quickly, were also able to take 'advantage' whether on purpose or not. The repeatedly spawning boss within Craglorn is a recent one that comes to mind, with players hurtling through V10-V12 due to the massive amounts of exp they were able to get as a result. Thus, 'catching up' becomes even more onerous, as we do not have the dubious 'benefit' that the early levellers had.
@MaxBat Max, I would say there is not a cat in hells chance this is a bug. It is a bad decision by ZoS. We have had sufficient of those not to be so surprised.
ZoS Ambassadors please do not bother responding to me because I have you on ignore. Your input is neither valued or welcomed.
@Nephys: Okay fair enough, but it really doesn't make any sense: the assumption is that Zeni took - just to use an example - a bunch of rawhide color schemes out of the game ... because they were afraid they looked better than upper level armor? They didn't even repurpose it?
If that is truly the case, then it's the silliest decision ever - like in the history of the entire world ... as in "Let's do a bunch of work coloring textures and then, just 'cause we feel like it, take them out of the game." That just sounds like ... crazy talk.

LOL, although I am not as passionate as the OP, I do find the green to be banal. So much green in this game. I would prefer variety and a less "homeless" look. I'm a hero dammit! Let me look like one.
I wasnt particularly happy with the changes on vet level. My old (vet4) bosmer armor which i saved because it looked really cool on my character went from a light leather colour to bright baby blue.
Why on earth would Bosmer medium armor be anything like that. My character looked like a really sad Power Ranger.
It's the kind of colour you give small children to wear when you dont want them to be run over by cars. Oh and apparantly sneaky bosmers aswell.
I personally liked seeing all the different shades of green and blue as I leveled up, then when I'd finally gathered enough spidersilk to make the next level up... they were salmon pink. I cannot express my disappointment and disgust. I did not look more awesome. My friend joked that I looked like a mammoth's tongue. I was totally unmotivated to play while looking like that and considered going back to lower level robes. So in the instance of the Breton Spidersilk robes I was very pleased with the color change to purple. However, I really did enjoy the lower level robes and appreciated the numerous changes in colors to differentiate them as I leveled up, so even though I'm past the low level robes at this point it's disappointing to hear that they have been changed.
What you don't like pink? Here is what my VR3 looks like wearing green quality crafted VR3 gear. I used to look cool, now I look like a clown. My VR10-12 gear definitely looked better after the patch, so I guess you win some and you lose some.

No point in crafting different stuff, really. I used to look forward to a new colour every 2 levels, now? Nope. Quest rewards are meh-looking, crafted gear is meh too. So yeah, only with a costume on.
