my group beat all groups on AB, so we transferred to wabba and beat their top leaderboard group 6v9 lol

So wtf makes you think creating an arena would give you competition if you already beat everyone?

If there are no groups on the forum looking for gvg then no one wants to play your game.

There wasn't very much 8v8 in DAoC in its infancy. People were leveling up etc, and getting a feel for the game. 8v8 didn't really hit its prime until a little while after Shrouded Isles hit. No changes from Mythic made people 8v8. It was just something the community started doing because they found it fun. Granted having a max party of 8 helped the situation.

What really could drive players to smaller group without killing cyrodiil population is 4-8 player missions that are rewarding(with gold maybe) but not so invasive so that people mainly do it to find the small skirmishes, but have a little extra incentive to go there.

Or people can do like they did with DAoC.. pick a place that is best suited for small scale fights against other groups( much like the emain paths heading from emain (near the tower by amg) and into breifine. And later moved it to Agramon, after NF. This was all done by the players that wanted a similar style of play, not the company that made the game.

the company added agramon, the place for 8v8, to provide a place for the 8mans to fight without adds.

while you are right about the players making 8v8 popular, the atmosphere created by the company was a big factor

dunno what server you played on, but on killibury in NA we had a lot of 8mans on agramon. it was great

lol what? when did i say anything about my group and the cluster? i played with 8mans way before the cluster, back on merlin where quality groups like angry elves, desolate, umbos, QQ, etc played.

sounds like you are just raged up about failing to compete here haha
