Did everyone quit Cyro?

Whilst AI is not an authority on anything in particular, I was amused by something one particular engine told me last night:
    1. ESO PVP is broken
    2. The build that's breaking it
    3. It's astonishment that things have got to this stage
    4. That's there's no quick fix
    5. That I should probably stop playing

Well I'm keeping going with my tragic non meta build, as frustrating as it is. I want to drag this char kicking and screaming up to alliance rank 50. I mean, it's been years, I need to see it out.

But it is interesting that even AI says stuff like this these days.

They addressed DK, Sorc classes and WW skill line but didn't address NB, Templar, Arcanist, Warden and Necro enough to make them viable. Then they completely ignored the PvP communities and ball group leaders suggestions on group shields and they should be significantly penalized starting at group size 4 not 12. Ignored group based health shields also.

yes they did, all that i knew guess i still know of a couuple hanging in there though. thought the place was a couple of days a year zone to go naked into for quests at the event time myself these days just to laugh at getting ganked while trying to get the quests done, alas tickets are part of the past not done an event lately so maybe not even that anymore

You understand that cyrodiil is a war zone not an arena yes?

It is not a war. It is a game. A video game played on a machine from the safety , and luxury, of one's abode.

It's incredibly disrespectful to even try and use that comparison to justify the poor sportsmanship and toxic behavior of a specific group of people.

Furthermore it does not excuse poor moderation, bad game performance, and a 12 year old scoring system that really needs to be updated. After all all three of those, especially the last, are one of the reasons things are as bothersome as they are now.

I'm sorry you think I am supporting people who run around with unkillable builds, ganks from 50 yards away, tower running morons and people with infinite resources and infinite shields and heals? no far from it. However You are in a war between alliances. Not acting out the plot where you are the hero saving the day.

Agree with all of this. I haven't logged into ESO for over 2 weeks now because even the PvE side of the game feels bland, stale and unrewarding. Don't get me started on the state of PvP but it's just.....bad. Nothing is balanced, server performance is still atrocious...you know it's bad when you look at the primetime population and there's no queue and all 3 alliances are barely at 3 bars. I've been playing ESO PvP for years and this is probably the worst I've seen it at

Why aren't there more people in Cyro?

    - There is no game balance in PVP anymore, not that there was much to begin with. The gap between PVP and PVE has grown too wide. Normal players in normal builds, trying to play their favorite characters as they envision them, are just targets for slaughter. Werewolves, DKs and Sorcs in super secret PVP subclass (worst thing ever added to the game) builds loaded with exploits, rule the field. Divines help you if they get together in a ball group; you might as well just log out and leave ESO for another game like GW2 that actually has an idea of balance.

    - AP gain is so ludicrously slow that you can play through an entire Whitestrake event and feel like you've accomplished little to nothing. Oh look at that: I took all three RSS, flipped the keep, and ate a bunch of kits repairing the gates, and the bar for raising my PVP rank hasn't visibly moved. Wonderful! Why exactly am I spending the time out of my limited lifespan on this again?

    - The achievements and vendor rewards are even slower. The daily tokens like the Battlemaster Tokens are just that: daily. To collect everything from the various PVP vendors and areas would require literal years of play. Those daily tokens need to be changed from daily to per quest to make them more viable.

So, yeah. The play is ugly, the advancement is slow, and the vendor rewards are ridiculously time locked. With all that, the real question isn't "Why aren't there more people in Cyro?" It's really "Why is ANYBODY in Cyro?"

Fwiw, I have not quit and the Veterancy progression has rejuvenated by interest a bit. However, I typically play Sat and Sun mornings and not in the afternoon so you wouldn't run into me.

Therefore, everyone has not quit. :)
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I'm confused, are you asking why nobody plays cyro, then complaining about a whole bunch of reasons that would result in people not playing in cyro?

Aren't you answering your own question? lol

Vengeance is a fail and never should have been invested into in the first place.

BR is used during weekends and busy weeknights.

And GH pop locks every day for at least six hours and 12 hours on the weekends.

How can this be interpreted as "has everyone quit cyrodiil"?
