Imagine calling for corrosive to be buffed... Unbelievable. They should remove that thumbless ult entirely.
Most DKs can't fathom doing anything besides holding block and waiting for corrosive, similar to most NBs spamming cloak when they are about to die or praying vamp stealth works, or the "pro" sorcs immediately streaking/BoL away once things get hairy.
For them, PvP is riveting and this is the best patch ever. If anyone challenges whether or not that's good or fair gameplay mechanics they will all come out of the woodwork like the WWs and start posting bait.
But unfortunately for them, everyone, including them knows the truth. And as long as that is the case, everyone knows that it's only a matter of time before the nerfs come one way or another. If not, I'll just make a video and show why it should be nerfed.
I said I wasn't going to be in Midyear, but there's still time to show exactly why all three of the above need addressing, including corrosive giving over 100% damage reduction again.
I only play in PvP to fire siege or find bugs to definitely not use anyway. PvP is all about doing whatever it takes to win, right? As long as I win it's fair! Look, I'm becoming a "pro" ESO PvPer.
The level of salt is astounding, “class that is built to be tanky and use burst can’t fathom not playing class as intended.”
If more players like you held block we’d have less people getting VD’d on ep. Back bar is there for a reason and on dk it’s not to plink with a bow.
As for corrosive yea considering the intention of the class refreshes is to keep pure classes on par with subclassing, if you wanna nerf dk sustain stands to reason something else should be gained
@Nordstern
Didn’t ask for a buff I asked for it to function how it already did pre nerf

Corro is actually a really weak ult, its only for noob stomping. Try using it against any experienced player and they will kite it out. It's more of an IQ test rather than a strong ult. Onslaught on the other hand, if you don't break free the instance you get hard CCd youll get one shot by delayed bursts.
As for dk, it was a horrible mistake by the devs to make sustain tied to a skill, when passives like battleroar and combustion existed, that could have been just buffed. It would have prevented the permablock dks when dk would be forced to apply burning even while on the defense to gain resources. but even then the nerf would just make dks use bear haunch again and play with 0 sustain issues again. The most problematic skills dk are the wings with how loaded the skill is and how it breaks the line of sight rules.

Corrosive is perfectly fine. DK players really out here in full force complaining because of a single nerf to a skill that was extremely overloaded. DK is too strong, whip is extremely overpowered, their resource regen is too high, combined with the fact it's on an AoE delayed damage ability, they have the strongest shield in the entire game, their cross healing is great, their class masteries are really good for solo or group play, wings is extremely useful in PvP for multiple reasons.

What part of what I wrote is an overreaction or cope? Can you give any valuable substance at all without just complaining? I don't want DK to be bad, I want it to be in line with every other class, stop projecting just because you want it to be strong.
As it stands, subclassing is objectively stronger than “pure” classing by a large margin for several reasons. This is mostly caused by the vast differences in individual skill line designs. ESO was not built from launch with subclassing in mind, and the system highlighted issues with the current class skill line design that were not previously a factor but are untenable going forward.
To support the overall health of the game and class system, we need to respond and adapt to how the game has changed based on how players are using the subclassing feature. With this in-game data and player feedback, and available development resources in place, we have a clearer picture of the scope of changes that need to be made.
These insights have led us to re-examine our class’s identities: how they’re expressed and designed from individual abilities and passives, where those abilities are sourced, and how they all come together to create a cohesive class and identity.
One overarching pattern you’ll see as we move toward improving this experience is reorganizing class skill lines, adding in more benefits for sticking with the core skill lines of your class, and decentralizing role-specific power so that a single skill line won’t have every tool you need to achieve your goals.
Our aim isn’t necessarily to nerf, though. While in some instances nerfs may be necessary, we’ll be using values and specific effects to create more powerful or punchy abilities and passives, but with greater nuances that prevent subclassing from completely dominating the meta.

Subclassing has pushed away more fans than the dk refresh has, if you want something changed it has to come with something in return, they’re not bringing dk down to other class’ levels as that defeats the purpose of the refresh in the first place
Which is to dismantle or at least power down subclass build combinations. Don’t like it, ask Zos to hurry up with the refreshes. These nerf discussions are sabotaging the whole effort

I sincerely believe that we need to buff DK even more. The class is still far from reaching its full potential and the perfect balance we can achieve.
COF should restore 50% of maximum resources based on missing resources (including ultimate).
Corrosive should reduce all incoming damage to 3%, cost only 100 ultimate, allow DK to generate ultimate while active, and have its duration extended to 30 seconds.
Whip should deal Oblivion damage when fully stacked.
Wings should have their duration extended to 1 minute.

They got adjusted into oblivion.
When that happens to DK, who is next?

This was with 6 impen, 1 reinforced, all buffs up and some heavy armor in there. But yeah, whip is totally fine
